I hate where they plan on building the park. There are so many better places here. I'm gonna hate driving to work on the strip.

At least they are doing it right by putting in a retractable roof. Now they just need to put players on the field. They have a few years to get pieces and save money for payroll. If you make a good first impression like the knights did, they should do well in terms of local support.

It is, damn near historical monument. But it's still in a horrible location logistically and the facilities are trash

I went to dodgers stadium to see the Mets a few years ago. The place is a dump. It's a nicer dump than Shea stadium was, but it's still a dump compared to the newer parks. They need to do like the Yankees did and create a new Dodger stadium. They also need to improve the transportation infrastructure around the park

They must be trying to build up the residential side of vegas or something and make it for more than just tourists
Vegas has a lot of residents, but it’s a poor city. Vegas and Miami are two of the most trash places once you leave the glitter of their commercial districts

Hooker robbed a guy and stole his 50k Rolex. Chased her out the room in his underwear and grabbed her on the casino floor by the bar. Security comes and grabs them both to figure out what's going on. Metro comes and neither metro nor security could find the watch, and she didn't pass it off. They grabbed a garbage can and made her squat over it. She hid it up her p*ssy and gave it back to avoid getting charges pressed.

Angel Stadium is showing its age, buts it's like the damn Ritz Carlton compared to Dodger Stadium

yeah but you can say for basically every major city in the world
Nah Vegas is different.

You drive 30 mins outside of NYC and you’re in beautiful suburbs.

You drive 30 mins off the Strip in Vegas and you might actually get buried in one of those holes Joe Pesci talked about in Casino.

:picard:

You ever make the drive from LA to Vegas?
Once you pass Barstow, it’s one big open swath of nothing until you get to the strip. I’ll bet that you could take photos of Vegas off the strip and ask people “Is this Las Vegas or Baghdad?” and it would legitimately be a difficult question.

Nah, not really. LA has multiple nice areas, SF is the nicest outside of downtonwn/finacial district an fisherman’s wharf. NYC has way more to offer than Times Square. Vegas and Miami are depressed cities that happen to have major tourist hubs in the strip and south beach.

That drive at night is dangerous. It's just empty and dark. You can fall asleep.

30 minutes outside NYC you can get a good meal and see people. 30 minutes outside Vegas you can get bit by a rattlesnake or hit by a stray shot, because outdoor shooting is allowed outside town. Get some redneck with a 6 pack of Coors accidently shoot you because he wanted to play with his new rifle, and he can't drink at the gun range
