Where else could they go? Montreal, Charlotte, or Salt Lake City? There's not that many markets left on the table that can support an MLB team

They weren’t leaving Milwaukee, they knew a veiled threat would get the state officials to cave and they got it.

It's weird there are no teams between DC and Atlanta on the east coast. I know there are a lot of minor league affiliates there. Weird they don't get a baseball team in the MLB, VA, WV, NC, SC, KY, TN nothing. Weird.
Maybe Charlotte and its metro could do it but a MLB team is a massive big operation.. 82 home games, Triple A, Double A, and Single A affiliates, you need corporate sponsors, promotional nights, etc. Where would West Virginia, S. Carolina, Kentucky, etc. pull in enough fans across the state to fill a 35K stadium for 82 games a season? I don't even see the A's working out in Vegas at all, but we'll see. Maybe I'm wrong

It's going to be a disaster if they go to Las Vegas.

Jimmy Kimmel said Las Vegas is a Dodgers town and John Fisher is a piece of shyt.

I've been following this guy for updates, hoping for the worst because I wish they weren't leaving Oakland.

Of course I want them to stay in Oakland but if they actually leave, then it's Las Vegas' problem:yeshrug:

This has the same smell as the Chargers moving to LA. A long time owner without the funds to compete latches onto a larger city because "market" instead of staying where they have actual fans. The Chargers team complains openly now about not actually having a home game. It is what it is. It'll happen a few more times before they learn to just sell. Vegas ain't gonna support a cheap owner with a losing product.

It ain’t gonna be like the knights or raiders where the nfl sells out automatically and only has to worry about 8 home games or an expansion franchise that’s made real effort to compete. The A’s will be coming off what’s gonna be the worst decade maybe of any major league team ever and going to a market that’s never to my knowledge cared much for baseball. Rays games vs the Yankees in the early to mid 2000’s in an area full of New Yorkers still could barely get past a half capacity crowd. I can’t see the A’s doing decent attendance in Vegas.
