SMF and LAX to VA and NC

I hope this Vegas shyt falls thru. Sacramento is just a much better option anyway, it doesn't even make sense to go to Vegas. All Vegas has is the brand of the city and location, literally everything else says Sacramento would be the better play for the A's...

MLB and A’s will make concessions and to turn the No’s to Yes’s

This is how sausage is made, so to speak.

Vegas and Nevada isn’t turning down an opportunity to lure another cash cow to its economic engine
This is the most likely outcome but I do think it's interesting, the A's can generate more revenue in a larger market and city in Sacramento than they can in Vegas. I don't know how large of a baseball market LV is but Sac is a baseball-starved market without the 24-7 energy that Vegas tourism generates. Behind closed doors they gotta be seriously considering a pivot to Sacramento...

ATL to MEM
Let them move to San Jose since they wore out their welcome in Oakland. Let Vegas spend public money on stealing the Rays and move them away from the strip

The As gave San Jose territorial rights to the Giants in the early 90s to help the Giants raise money for a new stadium. When the As wanted to move to San Jose the new Giants owner blocked them since the territorial rights transferred to him with his purchase of the team.

In other words the A’s fukked themselves in helping the Giants.

No good deed goes unpunished. Guess they need to go to Sacramento. MLB should force a sale of the A's to new ownership. Maybe a new owner could fix that franchise

Still mind boggling to me that major cities in America are still helping billionaires pay for their stadium.

This might be Vegas biting off more than they can chew though. The current A's owner ain't going to be the one to field a proper team. The hockey and WNBA teams at least win. The Raiders are the Raiders.

The team will be there for 30 years and he'll be cashing revenue share checks again (At one point they put it in the CBA that the A's couldn't get revenue sharing because they were leeching and they're about to reinstate them on it again) and not paying taxes. In baseball you have to spend to win and he won't.
