MJF remains frustrated with his contract situation, and is leaning towards not re-signing with AEW

I think this is a work but if Tony Khan lets MJF walk, he is a certified retard

Marks keep telling us TK is a money mark. How's that looking now? :russ:

My issue with MJF is if he can't get a reasonable deal from TK then what makes him think he can get a better deal from Vince? Gotta keep in mind that this guy is still young. He's in a pivotal time where he can get two big bags down the road so it's understandable from MJFs point of view. Very intriguing stuff from both sides but this is what negotiations look like if this isn't a work.

TK is unquestionably still a money mark :mjlol: the issue isn’t the money, it’s that he wants MJF to commit for more years.

If AEW is such a great place to work then it shouldn’t be a problem to expect in good faith for MJF to re-up in 2024, because why would he leave, right?

But for now he’s gonna need that money. And since AEW is such an amazing place to work, signing for more years in 2024 shouldn’t even be a question in TK’s eyes.

MJF has no leverage here whatsoever. I can see the MJF character in year 5-6 getting old and stale wherever he is for that long, but it would be Bischoff like to give dude a raise because he want it. If Tony did that, every top guy that main event PPVs should come around as well, especially since Roman got a new deal. Dont start the precedent.

No promoter in their right mind would agree, but no talent who knows their worth would ask for anything less.

Nah breh, nobody leaves WWE because they're unhappy. It's a real paradise over there :russ:
I always chuckle when someone like Owens or Zayn re-signs and the stooges act like, "See!! I guess WWE isn't so bad a place to work at after all!!" When like 6 out of 78 talents there are actually happy and/or paid really well. :mjlol:

Unless this is about MJF signing an extension with a pay bump a lot of this talk makes zero sense.
MJF is still under contract until 2024 so a brand new contract being negotiated this far out seems odd enough but it seemingly being done in public makes it all even more odd.

Finally got the reply feature back...

MJF was in a pretty bad contract with MLW, and Tony Khan got him out of it. There's an early episode of AEW Unrestricted (podcast) where TK talks about it & how MJF was very wary on signing with AEW long-term because of how bad that MLW contract was he signed. That's why MLW put in extra verbiage in their contracts with Jacob Fatu & Alexander Hammerstone so they don't get plucked away. Anyway, TK eventually got him to sign to AEW. I think MJF is leaning hard into the dirt sheet headlines right now & is probably trying to copy the whole Brian Pillman schtick. Like you said, he's signed until 2024 so I think they're going to play into this with him threatening to leave to get a main event spot via storylines. I wouldn't be surprised if he left in 2024, but I don't think he will.

If the Wrasslin biz was like real sports, I’d deal MJF for Naomi and Sasha. Plenty of male talent can take his spot while Banks and Naomi would elevate the women’s division. :ld:

Then MJF can re-sign for less years later after he’s wasted in the E. :troll:

A a yearly trade period between wrestling companies would be cool.
