You're not wrong at all, but Giannis gets the benefit of a doubt as he isn't as blatant with his moves and demands in the way that someone like Bron is. That more than anything is what helps Bron get the slander that he does.

I figured that out years ago during his FA when no one knew what he was going to do until he re-signed in Milwaukee.
He just plays up the good guy hard working foreigner with limited English role really well. And for the record I like Giannis

Jrue doesn't solve there problem which is being old on the wings.

They would be slightly better defensively but mid on offense

Let's say he's "too old" to be an effective perimeter defender (which I don't agree with). Who did the Bucks replace him with?

On top of that they traded away Grayson Allen and Jevon Carter, 2 other legit wing defenders

Jrue is good defensively on point guards.

Middleton is semi washed and they don't have other 6'6 and up wing players.

They tried Jrue in the playoffs on Butler and it didn't works cuz he taller and just posted Jrue up.

Jrue not good enough on offense to cover for Milwaukee wing players not good enough

The problem is they should have tried Giannis on Butler. We all know your previous coach was scared to make drastic changes. I feel like we also know Giannis isn’t really into that type of stuff as evident as he didn’t want 6ers coach who names escapes me.

Ironically this is exactly where I blame Bud. Defensively they left Jrue Holiday on an island to defend Jimmy Butler. Bud had that weird defense where all of the bigs camped in the paint, leaving Jrue by himself

You can watch the JJ Reddikk podcast where Khris Middleton mentioned that Bud's game plan was to put Jimmy on single coverage with no help

It doesn't matter if you are prime Dennis Rodman or Ron Artest.. you don't leave 1 defender to guard a great scorer, especially on a scoring streak like Jimmy. That's irresponsible and idotic

And even more ironic is that Adrian Griffin's style of defense was more about trapping and pressure on the perimeter, something that made more sense. But the Bucks players hated it and fired him :deadrose:

This is an earlier post in this thread about Coach Bud being an idiot when defending Jimmy Butler in the playoffs

Jrue is also good on PF and Centers. Not sure you watch alot of him. This season for the Celtics he's been in the dunker's spot and playing zone as the backline of the defense. Played very well against Embiid, Julius Randle, KAT, etc

Celtics are using him amazingly this season

Celtics are good defensively at every position. They can all switch. Milwaukee can't do that. Lopez can't switch on the perimeter.

Bucks are just too old in the tooth at key positions
