Yes there was. He isn’t a good postseason coach And they lost 4-1 in the opening round after having the best record in the NBA.

You don’t fire someone unless you can get someone better. Otherwise you just doing shyt just to do it.
this is what i mean. firing bud, then moving to griffin is a downgrade, then moving to Doc is a lateral move. now you have 3 diff coaches on your payroll and you never upgraded the position

and IDK how much i can blame bud for Jrue being ass on defense and offense, the bucks losing the games Giannis played and him doing everything to avoid the FT line in the clutch, Middleton being hurt constantly, and grayson allen trying to eurostep into a basket when he doesnt have time to do it

You can fire Bud. There were coaches out there. Idk why they didn’t goto for Nick Nurse.

Hiring Grifffin was the mistake.

i agree. i think they overreacted. they won the chip in 2021, then lost to a really good Celtics team that ended up in the finals. Then they lost to the Heat that also ended up in the finals. only 2x in the last 6 years has the team with the best record won it all.

they've been tryna do some crazy shyt to be the outright favs. but dame has been bad so far and he's never gonna play defense.

Bucks have been a mediocre franchise for a long time.

Getting lucky and drafting generational talent doesn't all of a sudden fix all their issues. After 2021 championship I thought it would be interesting to see what's next for them. And they couldn't even get to the conference finals again, let alone the finals.

Signing Rivers is the ultimate mediocre move. Players like him, but that's like having a teacher in your class who lets you cheat. When it's time to show what you learned in school you realize you should've worked harder. Same with Rivers. He's a players coach and all that, but when it's time for the playoffs your team realizes that the coach and players haven't done a god damn thing to prepare for the playoffs.

Jrue is their best defender. if jrue wasnt stopping jimmy, Giannis wasn't going to. they got rid of jrue and they've been a shyt defensive unit

they were a regular season team. Spoelstra outcoached Bud because its eric fukking spoelstra.

Jrue is too small to guard SFs man

Jrue is a guard Jimmy is a 6'8 SF

It was a big mistake that Bud just sat back and watched from game to game

He should've been fired as soon as the series ended

Bucks are in chaos

An exceptional perimeter defender in today's NBA is like having a shutdown corner in the NFL.

The Bucks are far removed from that '21 squad. They are now "outscore the other team" status....and that doesn't get you championships. I don't care how many points Dame puts up.

jrue defended Jimmy well when he was guarding him in 2021. He didnt guard Jimmy 100% of the time, but he was definitely effective.

Ironically this is exactly where I blame Bud. Defensively they left Jrue Holiday on an island to defend Jimmy Butler. Bud had that weird defense where all of the bigs camped in the paint, leaving Jrue by himself

You can watch the JJ Reddikk podcast where Khris Middleton mentioned that Bud's game plan was to put Jimmy on single coverage with no help

It doesn't matter if you are prime Dennis Rodman or Ron Artest.. you don't leave 1 defender to guard a great scorer, especially on a scoring streak like Jimmy. That's irresponsible and idotic

And even more ironic is that Adrian Griffin's style of defense was more about trapping and pressure on the perimeter, something that made more sense. But the Bucks players hated it and fired him :deadrose:
