Won what? Under Griffin? 32-14 was a smoke screen for great offensive talent despite being horrible on defense. Defense requires effort in spite of talent. Hard work beats talent, and they’re not working hard on defense. It’s weird that you don’t see this. What’s your explanation for their defensive collapses?
The point is to win. They were winning. They made a coaching change. Now they arent. You say the effort aint changed so how do you explain that?

Obviously the players are playing a significant part here. But you fired a coach for not connecting with the players despite winning (ie the point) and now you looking worse. This aint a defense of the players as much as an indictment of Glenn.

Panicked too quick on Jrue. IMO

Jimmy was cooking him but Giannis was out 2.5 games that series. Losing Jrue and Grayson Allen was bad for them. They are garbage defensively
Tatum had his playoff moment and the entire team went bombs away from 3 the year before when they were up 3-2. They went backwards from that last year.

40-13 4th quarter collapse, they gave up 28 points the the Jazz bench, 19 point lead late in the first half turned into a 15 point loss. No lead is safe with Doc at the helm.

Dame Lillard was fooling us the past couple of seasons with the empty stats. Gianni’s has a bigger offensive load to carry this year and it’s crazy.

LMAO AT THIS shytTY LOGIC.

GIANNIS SHOOTING A CAREER HIGH
61% FG THIS SEASON AFTER 55% LAST SEASON.

HES CLEARLY BENEFITS FROM
HAVING DAME ON THE TEAM.

So wait, you feel Griffin wasn’t the issue and didn’t deserve to be fired?

Dame Lillard inefficiency will say otherwise, him having one good game every two weeks is the reason why Gianni’s has to carry the load even more THIS year, a lot of times the Bucks are in these dogfights with mediocre teams because of Dame having his usual 5-18 game with little to no defense, if you wanna talk stats He’s more efficient because he used to take 3+ 3 point shots before and now he’s taking 1-2 shots less, instead taking closer shots to the basket by design. That’s literally the 5% bump in field goal % But go off. He’s been hovering the same 63-64% on two point shots since 2018 except for last season when he shot 60% from 2.

I don’t see how this guy makes anybody else life easier.

Firing the coach is one thing. If the players dont respect him it aint gonna work. But bringing the posterchild for choking in to replace him is :mindblown:.

So wait, you feel Griffin wasn’t the issue and didn’t deserve to be fired?

Do you have an answer for my question? How we giving the same effort but getting different results?

A few thoughts on what's going on - purely observational and anecdotal - but coming from a place of rarely missing Bucks games:

-Dying on a hill or pining for Griff to be here is a very strange angle to take. I'm saying that as someone who was on his side as a fan, which is a minority viewpoint for most Bucks fans. In the end, the window wasn't there to wait for him to figure out how to call plays, have locker room issues or jerryrig Toronto's defensive system to our roster. Short of a championship, he would've been fired anyway. It's that simple.

-Doc is memeable, yes. And I don't care for the hire with regard to our playoff aspirations or young player development. But the following will come down to actually watching us - and not standings or box scores: Out of his start, the only truly bad loss was Portland. And that one is on the players for putting themselves in that position (e.g. Dame attempting to recreate Dame Time in PDX with bad shot selection, Bobby hunting his own shot, collectively not going to Khris when he was on fire.) The Bucks have been historically shytty in Denver for decades, aside from it being Doc's first game coaching. Last night's game, the bench didn't produce, the team collectively shot like shyt, plus they're without Brook and Khris.

-The game they won (Dallas) was the first comeback we've had this year where they actually outcoached the other team versus outplaying them because they felt like it. Being down 20+ that game to start was on the players.

Ultimately, he's trying to come in midseason, install a system/strategy/plays, and correctly utilize Dame and Giannis. They're gonna eat some Ls and look sloppy til they figure it out. Otherwise, they actually look like they're in a system and there's a two-man game forming with Dame and Giannis, which wasn't always the case with AG. The bigger deal here is that are roster construction issues - namely missing a point-of-attack defender and a decline in our bench (Bobby and Pat C have been suspect) - that Horst has to figure out if we're going to contend for real.

odds would've evened out I think. Go 7 IMO, but you don't give up 2 of your better defenders for Cone ass Lillard and other non defensive playing bums like Beasley.

Doc better figure this shyt out quick. Owners might eat one coaches salary, but not two. They need wing defense bad.
