The days of getting that good job and using it to easily finance your life is on the decline. Yes, even for the educated. Taxation is the next big thing. Too much bullshytting as a nation financially. Gotta come to some kinda head. And it will.

The nation is doing that but they are leaving out Black people. The game is changing and adjusting. It left out white people the first time and brought in Obama to repair it. Now they need small town repair and confidence and they are bringing in Trump. Now they just need better aid and state and local repair and they need Black politicians and liberals. But all of this is being done while leaving Blacks in the cold. If anything, other minority groups are fighting for the Black spot and winning as of right now.

This is what is so cruel about it. For all of the Ls Africa has taken in the last two years. Black people represnatation is getting washed.

Did I earn any more degrees or certs in that night? No
Did I complete a huge project or do something big for the company? No

I just talked to the right guy and next thing I know i'm up for a raise

If I was sick or something and never made that Top Golf night, I would not have gotten that raise, period.

But so many people who have been in the same situation I was in and benefited from it.... they will turn around and tell others brehs coming up "You gotta work hard to get where I am, you gotta get your certs and degrees, You gotta do it the way I did it"

I'm just lucky and blessed, I could have literally done the exact same shyt and I could be making half of what i'm making... EASILY.

the workforce is still male friendly, even for black men who are on their grind. we earn more than women with equal qualifications in the same jobs and when head to head we're more likely to get the jobs.

what i've seen is women are less likely to give up and will accept something less than the max to get in. a lot of dudes let their pride get in the way or aren't confident in their ability to get in at midpoint then grind/hustle to something higher.

No. Nein. Nyet. I want to know what jobs you're talking about. Middle to upper middle management positions or entry level to low level supervision? Maybe in a warehouse. But if you're a breh with no degree trying to get an entry level corporate job (let's say insurance adjuster which doesn't require any experience at the major providers) you're at a disadvantage. These offices aren't filled with women because men don't want 40-50k entry level gigs. This theory that men, especially black men, do not want to work and just give up after a few rejections is fukking infuriating. nikkas talk about grinding, finding a job is a grind. I've been seeing it for years. I've seen degrees posted on section 8 walls. Even when you fall off, the padding is there.
Society, schools, and the current education system are built to promote women, so men already in place (and their sons) will have NO competition, and a weak, pliable workforce that can be controlled more because they have children. Less likely to unionize, and when they do, those unions are usually corporate sponsored and defeat the purpose.

A lot of these office jobs (entry level, lower management) prefer women; you can pay them slightly less (those savings add up over thousands of employees), they don't seem to stay as long (meaning they never reach max pay and you can replace them with a cheap alternative), they are "more educated" (filling degree requirements), and they count as a minority hire. HR Depts are filled with women hiring women at the directive of white men. A lot of these jobs are so low skilled even a teenager could do them yet they require a degree or a degree holding candidate will get preference; this pushes a lot of black men out of the running straight away. We're in fierce competition with women for non management office jobs and Mexicans for labor intense jobs. I have no idea what white men are doing to be in this predicament but black men.........man, just don't give up but you will feel like it. Also, more black men need to go to school to get bullshyt degrees as you'd be surprised how many jobs use the need for those basic degrees to bar you from consideration.
