You're just trolling at this point. If you are for real, then you have some serious problems. Getting into the military is pretty easy. It's only hard for people who have never done anything athletic in their life. If you are struggling this hard to get into the military, your life in going to get worse because you will not be able to handle any serious challenges.

I've known folks that have went through Basic, Fundies, SERE, and 3-lvl school in the time dude been posting on here about joining, much less having him go through MEPS, DEP, and getting his Amn's Coin.
:unimpressed:

I'm not even entertain this any longer, especially without receipts, but I will say that 1AX/1UX manng/retention is high as fukk right now due to rona and the war in Afghanistan effectively ending.

So even if dude could pass a flight fizzy there won't be any slots for most of the jobs he wanted anyways.
:yeshrug:

Next topic.
he got told to kick rocks by a recruiter (right or wrong:hubie:) for being sloppy years ago, and made no significant improvement since then.

standards went up significantly since he started feeling out this whole process... since then a war ended, game has changed entirely, skilled civilians in every field out of work looking to get in, retaining skilled people in evolving positions is high priority. i can't speak for every branch, but the army is about finding ppl that can make the army better - not throwing life lines to fill seats on deployments. marines got a huge image change, navy is a clusterfukk and they're not trying to bring in more problems waiting to happen, air force ain't thinking about nobody, coast guard can pick and choose because they've got some great career advancement potential lately.

it is what it is. window closed. plenty of opportunities out there still but the military isn't a good move for him or any organization.

i knew more than a few guys who held on to believing they had an option to keep from taking harder looks at their actual situation. no jokes but you gotta just own where you at sometimes @Dave24

You hit the current situation dead on. They are booting people left and right and are becoming more restrictive about who they Bring in especially older recruits. They placed a new medical system in place that digs out those child hood mental/medial issues also.

@You know damn well that bum was never finna make it past 1WOT. :mjlol:

I have no problem tryna help folks, active or prospective, get in and make moves, but dude did not want to help himself, he'd be like the @KingZimbabwe or @Rozay Oro of your squadron.
:hhh:

It also didn't help that his goals were unrealistic and he seemed to only want flashier, prestigious, or potentially lucrative AFSCs where the competition and training requirements are high.

They probably did. I don’t know but I clearly missed when you dropped that knowledge bomb :russ: I usually always come in this thread when I see it on the page.

low key I started to become concerned when he said his age and instantly tossed out the national guard as an option. If I were an older person looking to join that is something that would peak my interest. Go to the guard get a skill. Go back home work a regular job with that skill or go to school. If all else goes bad volunteer for deployment or AGR and help out your state in natural disasters. And get gas money from drill.

but nah cats wants to apply for SF before they even ship off for basic.

I initially wanted to join the air force but the recruiter I spoke to was very standoffish. (avoided eye contact, gave one word answers, etc.) Don't know what his problem was. (shy? racist?) He has my contact info but never contacted me. I knew a girl I went to high school with who tried to join the air force with a stem degree, and the recruiter she talked to was similarly standoffish. So I figured this was a normal thing. *Watching various videos of the air force it seems like they're full of scawny nerds who watch anime. So most certainly I don't see myself being comfortable in that culture.

With my air force aspirations dead I went home, reset, and done as much research as I can on the army. If I'm to join the army I'd want to join a specialized unit (i.e.: 82nd airborne, 75th rangers, 160th soar) as opposed to the conventional army. **Looking to be an intel analyst in the ranger regiment. (so 35F w/ option 40)

Many people have fantasized about SF/SOF and have failed spectacularly. I've given myself 6 months to physically prepare myself before I even talk to an army recruiter as I'm most certainly not ready now. ***Been doing intermittent fasting, HIIT, yoga, calisthenics.

From what I can gather it appears that white supremacy is pervasive in the SOF community. ****There's this black former Navy Seal who got kicked out for punching a guy for calling him the N word. Hopefully I don't find myself in a similar situation.

* - lol

** - Ranger has their own 'intelligence battalion'

Nothing wrong with that. SOF operators cannot be mass produced, they must be chiseled from enthusiastic volunteers.
:ehh: Only the dudes that can endure and embrace the suck will make it anyways.

Met a young dude going into the pipeline randomly at a civvy gym two months ago. Dude was respectful, receptive to everything I had so say, and I wish him the best of luck.:salute:

Notice how I said I met dude in the gym. :francis:

Not on the trolling on the coli.
Not outta shape.
Not so fat a recruiter wouldn't let him take a practice ASVAB.
Not so enamored with the glamour he was blind to the challenges that lay ahead.

You can never tell who'd make it because a lot of it is mental, you telling your body to keep it fukking moving, but anybody that's ever put on the uniform knows dude sounded like gourmet food in this bytch.

thats how it is....Basically they make it through the pipeline collect a bunch of scare badges and either low key get peered out or just don't pass. Now you inherit a Specialist who thinks he's better than everyone else and depending on how far they made it a lot never return. the ones who wash out early go back. And at the end when you decide to hang these boots up you realize none of that shyt mattered. Outside of doing security or being an outright mercenary nobody gives a pure fukk.

Like I'm working on my resumes now and it's no where to place any of that BS in. And the federal resumes damn sure don't give a damn.
