:mjlit: Offset HAHO insert

:mjcry: 15k foot movement to the objective
That's still parachuting in, even though a night HAHO jump has worked everytime it's been tried that doesn't count. I mean a HAHO jumper is technically "flying" in but Although homie has no problem with flying in planes Flying in people is a no go.

Ok let's try this. Say your point in one sentence.

I'll say mine's If you're fighting an old school war to take hill 112 in Normandy yes Do a Naval Strike then bombing runs then Artillery Strikes then send a Armored Corps to take the hill. And in a Month you'll have it; Or you could send one guy into Germany to Kill Hitler.

You don't have to drop the guy in I guess you could send him in by sub have him evade hundreds of thousands of troops and civilians and in two months he'd be set up to take the shot that ends the war.

In short, I'm saying you want to kill or capture the decision makers not kill zillions of troops and civilians. It's regime change not winning a "war" Comprende?
when you say shyt like the bolded it just cements the fact that you treat this whole war thing like a poorly laid out netflix series man.....

actually study history. not just the flowery parts. airborne really got you on that rah rah shyt

I know I’m just saying each method comes with another risk and consequence of using it.you can never get to the X without sacrificing something

cmon son you gotta be right so bad you made this whole stereotype of me.

you think im some super hooah dude? I actually left america to move to Africa. in was in the duece for less than four years.

i didnt like jumping personally and almost died a couple of times.
all im saying is that its a way to get to the x. a way to move people and things from point a to point b. im also air assualt qualified i guess you think that the concept of air assualt is dead too.

btw this was actual history there is a hill 112 in normandy look it up if you think im bullshytting.

you know Rommel wanted to surrender after the landings and thats why the German army tried to kill hitler. to end the war. the war ended a few days after he died and they only waited a couple days to try to get the army to surrender to the americans not the russians

i don't think you're bullshytting i just don't think you even want to understand what you're talking about let alone have a complete picture of what it is you're trying to describe :mjlol: after that "equipment are worth more than men" and "just drop over iran" shyt i pretty much checked out

more people died on a good drop than in all of desert storm. did you really join the army to rep airborne? like.... was that a thing? :hhh: because if it was then follow your dreams. otherwise you really let them gas you up

nikka if you can't express what your point in one sentence don't say it.

Again stop putting bullshyt on me like I'm some super duper patriotic nikka that loves Parachuting. I mean why did I try out for SF? Why didn't I become a Golden Knight? Why didn't I become a rigger?

I literally said that I was a 9/11 enlistee and I wanted the base nearest to my place in DC. Fort Bragg is the closest. I picked the job right under what my recruiters job was (after seeing his year long AIT) I went Airborne because I was slated to go to the 82nd. Everyone in my platoon went to Bragg except one guy who was an Diver and another guy who had Ft. Hood (the base closest to him) in his contract. I guess I could've refused or washed out of Airborne school but It went from basic to AIT to Airborne School. One guy this big ass white boy quit after he graduated Airborne school. He quit when he had a hard landing at Airborne school and he was told that although we jumped at 1200ft in Benning it was normally like 800ft at Bragg.

Dude still went to bragg but they took his wings and sent him to jump optionable Corps signal unit.

My one sentance point is Jumping is just a way to get to work. I was assigned to the 82nd I didn't volunteer for it.

And at the end of the day why are we arguing this? I forgot what you said you did in the military but I find it hard to beleive that you really care about this. I mean damn nikkas make threads about some bytch they liked doing Only Fans. Even when coming across Cav dudes all they said is You paratroopers are crazy and 125 extra bucks enough wasn't worth it (which it isn't) but I never once heard anyone say anything more than that.

I know I said I might be brainwashed and my nikka literally ran with that, I just wasn't a p*ssy. I guess in a way I was "set up" because I went to Benning for basic when I could've went to Jackson and saw women (and some men) cry and p*ssy out of shyt. My Basic Training Platoon started with 65 guys we graduated 34. I didn't even know I could refuse Airborne at the time. I technically "volunteered" for the Rangers because a Ranger SGT gathered the dudes and said Anyone who wants to go to RIP follow me And he ran to the Ranger base. I didn't want to be a Ranger but since I was in training I ran after him. Had I kept pace with him I would've went to Rip and been a Ranger. I was at my unit for a month went the Platoon SGT asked if I wanted to go to Air Assault school. I said yes mainly because I thought I was going to Ft Campbell and also because he told me he washed out of it. I went to the course at Bragg and I learned later that I was expected to wash out of it.

When they dangled Pathfinder school a few years later I knew to turn it down. The only other thing I ever volunteered for was to go over to the 112th. I did want to join the Joint Communications Unit but at the time that was so secret that you had to be asked to try out. I wanted to go to JCU because they support JSOC and that was kinda not like being in the army at all.

Not just that. but if you were an Infantry officer or an NCO and you received orders to go to Airborne school and maybe follow on orders to an Airborne unit would you refuse? Would you say Parachuting is a failed concept It didn't work in Normandy and it won't work now? Or would you just suck it up and drive on?

I mean to a civilian if you asked someone to do a 12 mile road march in the rain with a 55lb rucksack that would sound crazy to them. In the 82nd everyone is airborne to include the cooks bakers and candlestick makers. It's really not that big of a deal there's thousands of female paratroopers most who are paperpushers.

Why would someone not do what some 98 pound chick could do (there was this Vietnamese chick who weighted around 98 pounds in the divison)

aite we get it :dead: you jump
Ok nikka I jumped what did you do? I mean it was really a very very small part of the damn job. I was a signaleer who happened to be assigned to an airborne unit.

Most people are kind of proud of what the do especially if it were different, I mean there's fraternity nikkas who will proudly tell you they paid a lot of money and got hazed to be in a fraternity. I never was a mason but I heard that military Masons got hazed hard too and all those nikkas are proud.

If you were a Tanker ( I think that's crazy) but if you wanted to beat your chest and said If you ain't Cav you ain't shyt and wear your stetson I'd be good with it.

Why did we have to go three pages about the merits of being airborne?

Other than this nikkas said I was "obsessed" with Tariq or talking about porn other than this thread I never mentioned shyt about jumping.

:mindblown:

yes, turn that shyt the fukk down. "drive on" is literally the worst shyt people push on others in the military

drive on and die
drive on and stay in a shyt MOS that ain't taking you anywhere after the fact
drive on and don't get any certs that translates into something real
drive on and not get your medical records straight so you end up limping for free the rest of your life

learn how to say no, get punished if you have to, say shyt is dumb and find somebody else :dead: live longer and better. its one thing if you're out there because you have to be and its your team you gotta scrap with but you ain't describe NONE of that

does it even matter what i did? lol. shyt its probably somewhere in this thread but i'll tell you one thing - it damn sure didn't define anything about me then and it doesn't now either. "but but what did YOU do" would going on about how i went looking for fingers and finding toes make my point change at all? i'm not in here saying what element has the coolest t shirt. i'm saying what's obsolete and most likely to get fukking mulched. i know what a 50 does to meat. i've had more friends die in training than overseas. i stirred shyt.

i got out and with a better life than i came into it with. and its troubling how long it took me to remember that that was the fukking goal all along.

do i like cav?

:mjlol: bruh i hate cav more than anything else in this whole country. i know i'd rather be behind some mounted weapons then digging a hole in the dirt like a fukking clown though

Edit: lmao i'm the oldhead now :flabbynsick:
