this dude was legitimately LESS THAN 24 HOURS AWAY from getting a life-changing bag. Thats not an exaggeration. all he had to do was sit still and shut the fukk up for a few hours and he'd get a ton of money from Charlotte

I guess this way, he's a monster who didn't get paid, so things are better like this :manny:
second year in a row he did this lol

this dude changed his twitter profile pic into a picture of Johnny Depp :jbhmm:

I'm assuming to draw a comparison of being wrongfully accused of abuse? lol whatever the intention I don't think a worse decision could have been made in terms of public sentiment....

Impossible to say. Come on, the NBA has been known for finding all kinds of dirt on players and keeping it private. This is a brain dead take, ESPECIALLY with the news the PD had the warrant since Janaury and is NOW serving it. Clearly they were operating on a different type of time and this has nothing to do with the NBA messing up.
You know what would help provide transparency and answer these questions?

If the NBA actually released their findings to justify the decisions that they make or lackthereof. Theyv been notorious in recent years for rending decisions with no justification behind it. They make the decision and move on to the next story in hopes that the media doesn’t put their foot on their necks about it.

In this particular instance, the league and the Hornets can play dumb about not knowing about the situation because we don’t know if or how much they even contacted the PD about the situation before rendering their suspension.

This is a warrant from a different county. I don't know what experience you have in business, but it's foolish to think a company can proactively search every county of every state for warrants for every employee. It just isn't possible or a smart use of time.

In this specific instance, the league already did an investigation on Miles Bridges and suspended him. So that alone shows they DID do some due diligence. This could be as simple as the PD holding the warrant private until they found suitable time to serve (aka don't want the accused to flee) or they simply fukked up. Neither of which shows the NBA didn't do what they were supposed to.

If the warrant is a sealed warrant, no investigator is going to find out about it. The entire point is for it to be a secret during an investigation until its concluded.

Yeah dude is acting like the NBA couldn’t have figured out that information if they really wanted to do so with all the resources they have at their disposal lol.

Because they literally cannot. Sometimes, just maybe, yall should say you don't know what you dont know and shut the fukk up.

and for decades we've had instances where stars, coaches, owners, and even people in the stands had information magically crystal clear and apparent to the NBA before it made it to civil or even criminal courts

they're damn near disney-level intrusive. this isn't background check/records request type stuff at all

any time the nba says "they didn't know" they're objectively full of shyt

Right. We’re talking about a multi-billion dollar company with unlimited resources to find out information if they really wanted to do so.

There's no resource that can find out about something that isn't known. It's one thing if there's an upcoming indictment that's being discussed before the public finds out. It's another thing to find a document that the authorities themselves aren't even aware of. The NBA is powerful but it's illogical to claim they HAD to know about this just to protect Miles Bridges. Guy is not a star, plays in a small market, and his contract extension was coming up. The league pretending to be blind for him of all players doesn't make sense.
