I was bored and decided to do my own take on the stats for what it's worth.
I started with total fantasy points in a espn standard scoring league.
Why? I dunno. It's a # to start with and it accounts for most statistical categories.
RGIII - 304
Luck - 264
Wilson - 259
From there I added their QB rating.
RGIII - 102.4
Luck - 76.5
Wilson - 100.0
From there I added their ESPN Total QBR.
RGIII - 71.4
Luck - 65.0
Wilson - 69.6
From there I added 10 points per win.
RGIII - +90 (Didn't count the game he missed)
Luck - +110
Wilson - +110
From there I added 10 points for win differential from last season.
RGIII - +40 (Didn't count the game he missed)
Luck - +90
Wilson - +40
Opponent Winning Percentage:
RGIII - .504 if you throw out the game he missed
Luck - .441
Wilson - .496
-1 for every game opponents were under .500, +1 for every game opponents were over .500.
At the end I decided to dock RGIII another 10 points for the game he missed (he already lost 20 for the win total, and win differential, but gained 2 points in opponent winning percentage) I also took away 5 for missing half of the Atlanta game.
Final Rankings:
RGIII 584.8
Wilson 576.6
Luck 575.5
Wow that ended up amazingly close.
By no means is this a great statistical argument, using fantasy points and all because obviously that favors RGIII with the rushing yards, but I thought it was something interesting to look at.
I didn't know Luck's QB Rating was so low... 76.5 and 26th in the league
In all honesty though, they've done CO-MVP before.
I don't see why they couldn't just do CO-ROY and give it to all 3. They're all deserving.
