I'm pretty sure Bart might be better versed in baseball than we give him credit for; if only because of the fact that it would be colossally stupid for them to put him on the air in NYC without realizing that baseball can be talked about just about year round in this market. Any sports radio show in NY has to know that going in.

I used to love when Mike would find a hole in a caller's argument and jump on it like ....."Bill in Parsippany you're on the air.............. wait a second, wait a second....so yuh telling me that .. wait a second ... wait a second ... Bill hold on! yuh telling me that that Giants have no running game!? they rushed for 300 yards last week.....Bill....Bill....wait a second....."

I loved Bart when he played on the Jets. He's from Michigan tho. I don't want to hear him talk about the tigers. I want someone who knows Mets, Yankees, Knicks, Jets, Giants. I want someone who lived through and felt our pain and joy. I want someone passionate about the Mets not spending money etc..

Listening to that muthafukka since the early 90s cause of my dad... I used to think he was the only black man in NY still listening to AM radio :laff:

Real shyt though it was the Kellerman/S.A Smith team that made me fall in love with sports talk radio back in the mid 2000s.

Yea same here, that is when I first started working in a cubical out of college, sports radio was the only way to remain sane. That SAS/Kellerman block on ESPN held me down, I didn't even bother listening to Mike until they were done.

:whew: I thought I was the only one who started listening back in those days. Same situation as you too, outta college, behind a computer all day listening to streaming radio on the PC.
