I would think that if Mike were to segment himself on a national scale, he'd prob be best suited for NFL talk (and fukkin horse racing). He can do Mets and Yankees all day, but national baseball? Naaa...besides, he always takes a lot of the summer off anyway & doesn't take a day off during football season.

And I'm getting a feeling that this change will occur this summer...before the NFL kicks back up. I'm anxious to see what'll happen.

I think Mikes a bigger baseball fan then nfl I know he has his own nfl show but he rarely mentions non qb's and coaches of teams but yeah I can see him doing something national for the nfl since he's had his own nfl show for years

I disagree with him leaving in the summer he's already said he'll probably be here the whole nfl season when a caller asked..I actually think hell bolt as soon as the nfl season ends which is the worst and most boring time for sportsradio.

The one thing is though it's gonna be hard to get out of the deal.Hes not leaving 5 mill on the table and I don't see management doing him any favors at this point considering how bad the relationship is.

Max is dope on LA radio, but u can tell he's NY to the core.

Dude be having rollin sayin he's feom Watts. They ask him where @ in Watts, he's like wher MLK meets Malcolm x blvd. Which aren't streets there.

Then when the kings was won the Stanley cup, he turned into a hockey fan and said he grew up in Canada playing every day :mjlol:

He's definitely entertaining, I just can't take all the Lakers talk :scust:

Dude recites some NY rap lyric every day. Im sure he'll go back to NY one day
Kellerman won't come back to NY because his boxing stuff makes it so he has to be near Vegas

It was. Got switched to ESPN radio in 2012. Used to have Dahved Levy on every Sunday :wow:
The owners of 98.7 (Emmis Comm I think) leased the frequency to Disney who own espn.
And like @Carolina Slim said, it was a sad day.

Since he's not going to espn ny it sounds like Mike will do something national which will be cool but at the same time way out of his element

His knowledge is severely limited he's best taking 5 hours of dumb baseball trade calls

Will be interesting to see if he chooses tv or podcasting

ESPN cut back his show by an hr and removed his producer, Robin Lundberg. Pretty sure they also took away some other cats that worked on his show, so Max said fukk it and left. Saddest day in NY sports radio history was when ESPN dumped that entire block of Max and Stephen A(before he went full blown c00n) from 10am-2pm, that shyt used to hold me the fukk down during work. I listened to one day of Cowherd(ESPN NY went with Cowherd in their place once Max and SAS were gone) and said that's enough for me. I had never even listened to Joe & Evan before then, they're OK but not even close to what that block of Max and SAS used to be.

max & SAS was never partners
max was dolo early
and SAS was with brandon trieney mid day

I never said they were partners, I'm refererring to the midday block their shows occupied back to back. Tierney wasn't cohosting with SAS during that era, you gotta take your time and read young man.
