I never said they were partners, I'm refererring to the midday block their shows occupied back to back. Tierney wasn't cohosting with SAS during that era, you gotta take your time and read young man.

:stopitslime: be more clear & concise

Nah, Max had Brian Kenny and Robin Lundberg.
yeah but if i recall they were not partners or co host
they were his baba booey/stuttering john to howard

Yeah; Mike knows a lot about those sports, he doesn't really kick it about college football because, face it, nobody cares about college sports in the area sports-talk wise unless St. John's is doing REALLY well, bowl season in football, and the NFL draft when they're concerned about who the Jets or Giants might draft. However, you can talk baseball 24-7. Baseball, football, and if the Knicks ever get their act together, that's all you need to eat in the NYC market. I don't doubt that Mike would be able to handle a national show. Now would he have the energy to do it, that's a whole separate story. This beef with CBS might reinvigorate him and make him wanna show them that he's still the king.

It would be interesting to see who would fill the slot. I would say Benigno and Roberts, but I know they don't really care for that slot. Boomer and Carton, at least during football season Boomer has those commitments to broadcasting the Monday night game on Westwood One, so I don't know how that would work. But someone would definitely jump at the chance to have a drive time show on the OG sports talk station with one of the biggest signals out there (I can catch 660 clearly at night down here)

Ya really sleeping on Mike's knowledge of the national sports scene. He's always been knowledgeable of the NFL, knows his baseball and his knowledge of the NBA is really underrated cuz he doesn't talk about it as much. When he gets an NBA analyst though you can tell he knows a lot about the intricacies of each team.

I agree that Mike knows national sports but I don't know if Mike would want to do a strictly national show

He loves talking Yankees being a huge Yankee fan and even breaking down the Mets I don't know if he could handle not being able to do that daily during the spring
