during the day? :dahell:

and Moose loves the Redskins, so be that as it may

He might be too calm for the day but I rarely get to hear him at night

I have no problem with moose liking the skins
I'm a jets fan

But I do see your point

Really when its all said and done mike and the maddog are pioneers there may never be a radio show like it again these guys basically created radio row at the Super Bowl and shyt.Radio will never be the same again period. The passion they showed for years and both still have was and is great. Radio hall of famers forreal.

Did Mike announce something and I missed it? I've been hearing dudes calling in left and right talking bout "I wish you the best" and "They're making a big mistake"

He's fed up with WFAN and also fed up with FS1/2/Go.

He essentially hinted that he knows he'll be retiring soon, but that the audience will be the first to know.

Someone called in a week or so ago and Mike mentioned in passing that he's gonna retire soon(ish).

The Fox Sports deal has been an unmitigated disaster(frequent pre-empting of his show). Plus he doesn't have the clout he used to at WFAN(Boomer and Carton bill more for their show than Mike does now, I also don't think he gets along well with the PD there anymore)

Mike just using the classic Howard Stern retirement leverage tool.

yea, it sounds like he wants out ASAP...but not exactly retiring anytime soon. i think even Joe and Evan are doing a bit better in the ratings at the moment. could it be that Mike's mad at that, and is blaming the company?

shyt would've been all good had he just re-signed with YES, i feel. now they're supposedly talking about Michael Kay leaving the show when his contract expires in Sept...not that he's a threat anyway, but still.

I have no idea. Could be.

YES didn't want him back, IIRC. He should have just gone to CBS Sports Network or MSG and simulcast there. I don't think he did the CBS thing because Boomer and Carton were on that wave first

supposedly Mike and the CBS Sports big dog, Sean McManus, don't like each other anyway tho...altho Boomer & Carton being on the network did contribute, i imagine.

but yea, i actually initially thought that when MSG didn't want B&C back it was because they wanted to go after Mike. so, i was confused by that. i guess they just didn't want to invest in that space anymore. should've been a perfect fit, and he would've never been preempted.

I think the CBS folks look at Mikes show and ask themselves why are they paying someone millions of dollars a year, who takes 3 months off...to simply answer the phone.
