Most of those guys only got into the HOF because they were on Russell's title teams not because they were dominant players. It's a classic case of overrating guys just because of they were on a dynasty

As for teammates, wilt lost a finals series with Elgin Baylor and where Jerry west put up 40 PPG. I can't see that happening to any other all time great. Can you see shaq losing a series where Kobe put up 38 PPG?

Nobody is hating on Wilt when they say that he underachieved as far as team success. Wilt was the ultimate me-first stat guy. Great, incredible, all-time great? Yes, absolutely. But if you're choosing players to WIN GAMES - which I assume is what we all would do - he's not going to be in your top five.

And let's not act like Wilt played with bums his whole career. He always had talent as well. Losing to those Celtics teams all those years had more to do with Russell-Wilt and their philosophies of winning as opposed to getting their own numbers than it had to do with the talent of their teams.

If it's fair to criticize Shaq for not living up to his potential despite being an all-time legend, then it's fair to criticize Wilt as well.

You didn't say what I said. I said nothing about Kobe being a bum compared to anybody or any of that other stuff in your last post. Yes I think that Kobe is overrated to a certain extent. Yes I think that at their best, Bird was better than Kobe. There's nothing unfair or unreasonable about those positions. Those positions hurt your feelings because you have some emotional attachment to Kobe that a grown man shouldn't have. You grown men Kobe fanboys need to check yourselves.

Bullshyt. Bottomline Wilt is a top 5 player just on numbers alone. Top 5 list isnt on choosing players to WIN GAMES only (you're changing everything) its based on EVERYTHING that has to do with the game.

Those positions don't hurt my feelings, they boggle my mind to be honest. Kobe has done things no nikka did and yet he ain't even better than Larry? Not to say that Larry wasn't great cuz he was, but what's the point of saying Larry "could of" been a better scorer if he wasn't? What's the point of saying Larry was a better playmaker when Kobe was the primary playmaker on a 3peat team? Does Larry have his name next to Wilt anywhere? At their best, who played better individual defense? I'll be damned if you try to tell me Larry.
