It's not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison, but I find it ironic that a man who fukked with so many livelihoods is in front of a camera saying how he doesn't want anyone to fukk with his.

you're living in a fantasy world breh, he never had anyone fired. did he "bully" people into quitting? maybe, but that's on them. go watch nash's new shoot.

...I've actually wanted to do that, if you have a link. Though Nash isn't always the most objective source in the world.

Nash doesn't sugar coat the kliq's "mean" behavior, so it's pretty objective. But it's not like they were able to fire people at will. That was all the bosses decision. I believe there are a couple threads with people who have links.

I'm conflicted...I know a union could potentially make the product worse and force wwe to have to keep shytty talent and then we may go periods where we go months without wwe because of a strike...

But Vince takes advantage of these guys like zac Ryder and there is no real competition to check wwe...like WCW where they could always negotiate with wcw offers in mind.

Me personally I feel the best way to negotiate is with Vince man to man and simply tell them why your fed up..Vince will respect thatI'd have to see what their salaries and the cost of their hotels are to see how much they are getting screwed...

It's gonna take more than Ryder/JTG/Swagger/Yoshi/Hawkins/Reks to affect things if this is what they want. Cause even if they do a walk out, the show doesn't suffer all that bad. Calling some of them midcarders is almost being too generous... in this day and age, Rey, Ziggler, Kane, Henry, Miz, etc. are the midcarders. These other guys (except for Santino) are close to the bottom of the roster and barely even get on TV every week. Them walking out would only mean less people to pay for wrestling a combined 15 minutes per month

But yeah, I think that based off of things said by Austin, Jericho, Michaels, etc. the best way to deal with it probably would be for those individuals to catch up w/ Vince himself and speak on the issue. Jericho in particular has some stories about how Vince has straight up gone in on him at times, but he's also honored a lot of Jericho's issues/requests/complaints because Jericho brought them to him straight up. He once got a shytty check for Mania XVIII, told Vince he wasn't feelin' that shyt at all and deserved more, and Vince had a bigger check for him a week later. The union shyt seems like it'd be a harder traveled road without someone with pull as a part of it. Otherwise, going on a strike or walkout would probably be like:

Vince: They walked out? Who?
Kevin Dunn: Uh, let's see... Swagger, Zack, Hawkins, Tyler, Yoshi, JTG...
Vince: Wait, stop right there... is John with 'em?
Dunn: Nah.
Vince: Punk? Randy? Rey?
Dunn: No, none of them.
Vince: Uh... Miz, even?
Dunn: Nope.
Vince: Oh... well :yeshrug: who gives a shyt?! :russ: Let's debut the Ambrose kid next week.

Props this is the best way to handle it and honestly any work situation...if your honest and feel your value isn't being respected then you make your case...you'll gain far more respect that way and maybe you'll get a no and as long as your respectful you'll get an honest explanation as to whether they can or not and you shake hands at the end

Frankly I hope they don't unionize.

Can't say I like any of the pro sports unions.

Working for a man like McMahon must be a bytch. He's their judge, jury, and executioner. And even when they get fired or leave, they don't say shyt about him. When you think about it, they deserve their fate for being so weak and feminine in nature. Everytime I see a picture of MVP, I just bust out laughing. Someone like Mickie was WRONGED because she was more over than anyone in their midcard that they did the stop and go pushes with. WTF is Kelly Kelly still doing with a job in 2012 when she's one of the most worthless blondes I've ever seen in any type of work or life situation.

still i think nash does claim that hbk was the only one who was able to storm into vince's office and say fukk off about something, its not inconceivable that he did get someone fired at some point.

in the nash thread about his 1995 timeline, i upped an old bam bam bigelow shoot, in it, he consistently references how the kliq messed with other peoples business and got them fired. im a kliq supporter for their talents in the ring and ability to maneuver themselves to better situations, but bam bam seemed like a fairly legit and up front dude. says they were the reason why he bounced from the f in 95; they wanted to bury him and stop the momentum after his match with lt, and other reasons

It's absurd to think that the best way to handle situations like these is to talk man to man with Vince when as individuals none of them have any legal power. What is the best they can do? Absolutely nothing of significance. A lot of you arguing against the idea of unions yourself pointed out why talking to vince as individual contractors won't work. He will just throw anyone out who goes against WWE's business model. But he can't throw them all out at once. Wrestling industry needs a union.

Right now WWE wrestlers are technically independent contractors but they don't have the freedom to do business with anyone as they please. They can't wrestle for other promotions while working with WWE. As individuals they can't negotiate terms of their contract that favor them in any way. WWE currently gets to enjoy all the profits that comes via these wrestlers but doesn't adequately compensate them. You can't address a company policy issue by just BEING A MAN.

Haha, there's really nothing they can do. There are hundreds of wrestlers that would be happy to have their jobs and they would do it for less money. Right now in the E, everybody but Cena is replaceable (not including pt wrestlers like HHH, Rock, Taker, etc.)

I do like that people are hoping Punk will back these guys. Punk has always been in for himself. He's an IRL heel. Selfish, obnoxious, egotistical, etc etc.

It's why he's great.

Why laugh at MVP? Stupid haircut aside, dude is doing well in Japan.

And Mickie is gone over Kelly because while equally as slutty, Kelly understands that going crazy over some dikk will cause you to lose your job.

Even if he didn't get someone directly fired, he still buried the fukk out of people which prevented them from earning more money and getting over with the crowd, probably leading to their eventual release.

That, to me, qualifies as 'fukking with their livelihood."
