TYRONE GA!
What i find even more interesting is Microsoft not only admits that they have never made profit off a console but that they are reliant on 3rd party game sales and mtx to turn an eventual profit. Only now they are paying so much money for 3rd parties to put their games on gamepass so they’re not making money on consoles, gamepass, or 3rd party games. Higher revenue and higher spending. There is no point where they can comfortably stop paying 3rd parties for gamepass deals if they want to keep the service attractive. Not only that but add in AAAA 1st party games day one, and where do you recoup?

It explains why they tried to force more people into gamepass ultimate by locking online and f2p gaming behind services, and tried raising the price of xbox live gold by 100%. I think Microsoft knows they are gonna be in a pickle if they dont greatly increase the amount of subscribers of gamepass soon.

Why you think they tried to double the price of gold :jawalrus:

The unknown
Who TF Cares lol.

They're still making money and valued at over $1 trillion

Clearly their business model works for their C level managers

Lot of info getting spilt. What's the point of this trial again?
I’ll link you to a non-biased source

Epic v Apple explained: What the trial is about, and what to expect | PC Gamer

But the trial does have some really huge industry changing implications depending on who wins.

TLDR: Epic wants all devices which support downloading and playing video games to be completely open platform. Which means anyone should be able to put whatever games and stores on whatever hardware they want without having to pay the platform holder. Like windows. Epic basically has to prove that apple is trying to create a monopoly on their platform

Open platform: Windows, Android, Linux

Closed platform: iPhones, iPads, all consoles

Microsoft is defending Epic because it means they could potentially put Xcloud on sony and nintendo consoles without permission and without having to pay them a dime
