So far in January, some 23,670 workers have been laid off from 85 tech companies
:picard:
That’s the most since March, when almost 38,000 people in the industry were shown the exits
:picard::picard:
Layoffs peaked in January of last year, when 277 technology companies cut almost 90,000 jobs
:damn: :damn: :damn:

Seen too much handwaving with "it is what it is"/"it's just business" babble. fukked up is what it is. If they were just dropping redundant roles it would be one thing but they just seemingly made random cuts all over the place. Don't even know if they cut the nikkas that was doing the fukkery. I haven't seen many celebratory posts putting a few of those guys on blast except for Mike Ybarra. Phil and them looking crazy for doing the cuts after doing those Miami Heat Big 3 meet and greets when the deal closed as well.:francis:

These mass lay offs are a sign of how lopsided the market is.

If it was healthy, companies would be worried about strengthening or creating new competition.

I wonder how some of them feel

company that hired you gets bought out by a bigger company just to lay your ass off
