the first number was 1900, then 650, they completely shuttered Arkane Austin, Tango, and the Doom mobile studio so its closer to 3k

Giant corporations aren’t charities. They don’t pay workers they don’t have to just because they can afford it. The CEO is there to make the shareholders money and his pay is a reflection of that. They’re the second most valuable company in the world and depending on the day the most valuable and he put them there.

Ultimately if they can run the business the same with 10 people that they could with 20 then they are getting rid of those extra 10 workers and using the capital that would pay them elsewhere.
