Something is messed up with the download for fs-base. It's tried to redownload it about 6 or 7 times now. I'll have to come back to it another time so I don't fukk up my data caps

A benefit to the kids being home last year was getting rid of my cap through Comcast. Not a fan of the $50 a month obviously but peace of mind of not having to juggle the cap is great.
Normally I'm fine but the MSFS downloader likes to get into an infinite loop. The download speeds are good, too good to get stuck in that loop and walk away from. I tried a couple of things but no luck. Some forum post said that it downloads the file as a whole and if any part is corrupted it starts over. If that's the case, Windows 11 might be the culprit. My VPN is acting funny and Microsoft just pushed an update today. I should just reinstall 10 fresh but I don't feel like going through that.
Got in some practice with the CJ4, downloaded the Working Title CJ4 mod. Basically went start to finish from programming the FMS all the way to (mostly) shooting an ILS approach. I learned that you can program your FMS/MCDU, then pick up your IFR clearance afterwards, which is actually kinda cool - made me feel like a real pilot 
. Tuned all the radios myself too. ATC started tripping at the end though, told me to descend to 2500' knowing good and well there's a mountain right in front of me. Tried to get a new approach and all of them wanted me to backtrack. Eventually cancelled my IFR and tuned to the tower and requested a visual approach. Got a shot or two while over SFO and LAX/DTLA. It wasn't the most visually interesting flight, but doing that single pilot jet shyt can keep you busy.

Short hop in Europe. For those on PC, pressing an arrow key will make the top bar disappear before taking pictures.
Need to play again. I was all hype the first couple days, but I fell right back off. Too busy with Hades and Destiny.

Actually I don't care about the air races. Saw an article somewhere else that the DX12 update drops next month. I want to see how that changes things.
