It's not the same thing. One is charging you to allow your system to basically use it's power.it's a simulator. and that GoT bs is bullshyt too
If you buy a new GPU on your PC it wouldn't be fair to charge you $10 if you want it to work to it's full power. If you don't pay the 10 then you will only get the same performance as you did with your previous GPU. That's what Sony is doing.
Flight Simulator already has the entire planet in game and for free you can download updates so that important places are more detailed like New York City and London etc. and they do have all 44,000 airports in the game already for free some of them fully detailed but it's not logical to expect to have 44,000 airports be identical. So people have gone and did it and charge for it if you want.
So there's nothing to compare, but it's a narrative you Sony stans have created. Why
