Sony has closed down multiple studios, including a publisher . All of them have had mismanagement from time to time. This isn't only an xbox issue. SSM had their new ip cancelled and threw back on god of war, it happens.
Let’s be real here if in say 4-5 years or however it takes to get Activision fully integrated Xbox has the level of success that present day Sony is currently having Xbox fans would be over the moon.

Xbox is getting outsold like 2-1 out here. Even if they got outsold it shouldn’t be that bad.

Nobody is in shambles over this deal. Did Jim Ryan prefer to fukk it up if possible? Yeah but even in leaked communications he said they’d be fine and I believe him.

Xbox isn't a console it's a platform they're doing two totally different things. You still replying like it's 2013, it's 2023 soon to be 2024. They aren't a hardware only platform anymore and haven't behaved like one in some time. Console sales while important isn't the metric you should be looking for for xbox, it should be revenue. They'll be 3rd maybe even 2nd behind tencent in revenue that's the metric that matters for them. Growing the business. They don't make " exclusive " games so console sales will always see slim or smaller impact their. They could perform better but their ceiling is limited due to Xbox now being a platform not a console. This deal solidifies them as a platform, they can compete on mobile and pc, even do a bit better on console and subscription. They have a mega revenue driver king that essentially will fund the entire business by itself. They have less risk with this move. If a Sony game bombs they damn near have to close to studio.

Sony in shambles imagine losing a quarter of a billion yearly.... Why you think Sony was fighting this acquisition... This shyt bigger than exclusives. Microsoft took a quarter of a billion from Sony with one purchase.

Selling 100 million plastics dont mean shyt how many times do we have to tell yall PSThots this.

No game is in development hell. That’s another thing you goofies made up in your head.

Nore did they “force” bungie to do anything. Halo is and has been a very important and lucrative IP for microsoft. IP leads the market, not developers. Bungie didn’t want to work on the IP they owned anymore, which was THE face of the xbox brand.

Microsoft had to chose between owning the IP that was integral to their brand, or letting bungie squander the IP that built their brand.

Seems to have worked out decently for both parties considering the billions of dollars Microsoft had made off the Halo IP this far :ehh:

Sony owns those IP. They can have other people make sequels, spin-offs, remasters, movies, etc as they see fit.

With Halo, Bungie owned and controlled the IP. It was an amicable split as both parties got what they wanted/needed out of the deal.

And sony cancels and says no to game pitches all the fukkin time. Sony santa monica been prototyping new and different pitches for decades.

What did sony tell them? “get yo ass back out there and make another GOW:ufdup:

You guys just make up these romantic stories about sony and everything xbox is this terribly negative spin.

ND about 5 years late with factions:” It’s all good no problem there”
:hula:
Brand new studio has some growing pains during a worldwide pandemic and takes a bit longer to get a game out than usual: “Development hell, mismanaged by terrible microsoft”

Sony stan’s crazy :mjlol:
IPs like The Last of Us and Uncharted came from companies Sony owned at the time development started. My question is what long lasting meaningful IPs have Xbox Studios created?

The war chest of IPs they have now are mostly from companies they purchased. At some point they have to start incubating IPs internally that gamers get interested in and stop trying to get there totally through M and A.

They need more people to buy Xbox consoles to increase the reach of Game Pass. PC Game Pass is a nice idea but it’s unlikely to reach the level of subs they get from console players.

Since they seem to be moving on from a cloud focus increasing their install base is the only way forward.

If the focus was revenue at any cost why ignore putting popular games on the most popular home console platforms? They want an ecosystem they control just as much as more revenue if not more so.

Not doing the goalpost dance with you. Each post you jump to the next sony stan narrative.

In reality sony only has a few games to fit your little goofy criteria and they had a decade head start of buying studios, buying publishers, closing studios, successes, flops and everything in between to get there.
