oh really. so you're going to tell me a black man that speaks properly but you could still tell i'm black by my voice over the phone. that i dont know what i'm talking about?
so you're going to tell me a black man that works with, plays with, lives around white people and other nationalities while some speak properly others do not. but you can still tell who's who by the SOUND of their voice. you're going to tell me.. i'm saying something that is not true?

again, when you SOUND like a white guy/girl. then the hood or any black person might just call you out for it. when you speak properly in the hood. they will say you speak differently and that you dont sound like you're from HERE(the hood). they may even call you a square. just depending. but they wont say you sound WHITE.
sounding white is what use to happen to kids that use to move away from the hood to the burbs full of white people. and if you seen that kid again in his teens years later. he/she would SOUND white. not just speak properly but actually SOUND like a white person. there's a difference.
So you can't be friendly with anyone whose views you don't agree with or lifestyle choices you don't promote?
Dont ignore the fact that she is a hypocrite my brother, says one thing, then enjoys the company of people who are the reason these children want to become "ballers"
Just because you heard some middle school kids say it once upon a time doesn't make it common practice.
There aren't significant amounts of children being educationally stifled by the fear of getting called a square for learning.

Way too gotdamn many. I have my two year old nephew at my crib, spending the night because my sister works tomorrow morning and the child's father is too busy trying to rap. We all pitch in so she can work while this nikka is living free to do what he pleases. Yes, bad on her for laying down with this nikka but all I can do is be the positive black male role model that I know he is going to need growing up because his father sure as fukk isn't fitting the bill right now.

The Obama's are the biggest fukking hypocrites out here. How often have these c00ns went to the hood and spoke to families in the community? How often have these two clowns, praised and shined a spot light on prominent, positive black leaders in the community? Hell, members of the congressional black caucus aren't even allowed to set foot near the nikka, god forbid a photographer happen to accidentally capture one of them in a picture with Obama. But no, instead they make it a point to hang out with a high school dropout and a ex-drug dealer king pin. Its disgusting. They won't go and visit the black leasers at the NAACP convention, but they'll be sure to carve out an appointment for Jay Z at the 40/40 club. Thereby legitimizing the claim that being a "baller" is the way to go, because you can hang with the fukking president! Because the president sure isn't hanging around the poor folk!
These guys have done everything in their power to ignore the black community, yet when they do decide to speak to the "black people" in America, its some fukking patronizing lecture about why were fukking up. She nor her husband surprisingly never have anything to say bad to say about other groups though. Nope, because in their eyes those groups are perfect. Its only the black people that need to be lectured to, over and over again, on the national stage. And it won't matter anyways. Black folk already used to being abused and humiliated in public, so I'm sure they'll take it in stride.
Its disgusting and I'm sick of it. Instead of these insulting lectures, why won't she work to help stabilize the black family? Like removing mandatory minimums and working to decriminalize drugs. Those two moves alone could do wonders for stabilizing the family unit. But im sure its much easier to act as a gutter snipe and make snide comments about blacks from the comforts of the white house.

This is a huge logical leap and it's wrong.
I'm pretty sure he's getting at people who seem to be "white-washed." I don't get what's so confusing about what he said. Not that I agree with it, but I know people of all backgrounds who are highly educated that get annoyed when people of their background sound like that. More often than not though, they're using "white-washed" as a place-holder for someone sounding like a valley girl. I just think you guys and everyone who dapped up these posts either misunderstood him or are taking it too serious.
I think a lot of people got told they were "acting white" before because they know how to complete a sentence and are extrapolating. I've been told the same before and I didn't take any offense to what @rapbeats was saying, whether or not I agree. But it certainly doesn't mean any of what Saint was saying, the fact that so many people dapped that up is the only reason I posted, that was mind-boggling.

True, the bigger issue is that the images and sights/sounds that are perpetuated in media are of our people glorifying the stereotypes. And cacs are laughing all the way to the bank. fukkery sells, and who more to sell it to than us.

I expect it from white people, but there's too many black people who subscribe to this line of thinking. People want to take the bad behavior of some black people the project it on all black people, while ignoring that white people and every other type of people exibit the same behavior.
I'm usualy in support of Mrs. Obama but I can't cosign this one. It's simplifying the problem and placing the blame on kids who know nothing but what they are taught.

I think more people would value education if our schools weren't so shytty... I learned damn near nothing in high school. Wasn't prepared for College at all, yes, it was partly my fault but the school was terrible. We didn't have to do any work 90% of the timeExactly.
