What doesnt stand a chance?
Any jobs program targeted at black people. They couldn't even get a regular jobs bill throughCongress 2 years ago when unemployment was higher.

:costanza: check neg. this might be the dumbest thing i have laid my eyes upon on the coli
she sounds so out of touch and cacish.
How many people actually call reading books acting "white" ?
Are black people out in droves really trying to become rappers?
This shyt I only really hear from white people, it's not as prevalent in the community as people make it seem.
So you can't be friendly with anyone whose views you don't agree with or lifestyle choices you don't promote?

It's actually quite common. I was told this when I was growing up in elementary school and JHS. In fact it was only til I got to high school where my peers started realizing "Wait...being a dumbass is'nt cool". At least most of them.

That makes no sense, you speak how you speak. There should not even be the term sounding white as it denotes that white people carry themselves better then black people. This whole shyt is wrong.

I'm not denying that it exists, but it's not happening on a level where it's a significant obstacle that is halting progress like that. That's largely a myth perpetuated by racist whites.
Large amounts of black people aren't afraid to learn and do well in school because somebody might call them white.
Yes, there is a lack of educational accomplishments among blacks but that's not because people are scared of being called a square. It's not that simplistic.
I know a similar mentality exists amongst poor whites with how they make fun of "city people" for speaking proper English and dressing a certain way
ThisWe have to stop falling into the trap of judging the entire race by the absolute worst examples...We're doing racists jobs for them.
I think it's entirely possible to aspire to be a baller while succeeding in the classroom. I also think her point applies to America as a whole, we should be placing so much more emphasis on education then we are.. Folks like Neil Degrasse Tyson should be our celebrities.. Not fukking Rhianna or Justin Bieber...
I think more people would value education if our schools weren't so shytty... I learned damn near nothing in high school. Wasn't prepared for College at all, yes, it was partly my fault but the school was terrible. We didn't have to do any work 90% of the timeExactly.
These are problems that can be found all throughout American society, yet it's only black people who get blamed for it.
People like to say black folks don't value education, yet according to white people it was a bad thing that Barack is highly educated and they wanted to elect Sarah plain cause she's a dummy
So who doesn't value education? Is it just black people or is it American society as a whole?
