That's your narative, so that's what you heard. But that's not what I got out of them, Baracks in particular was about motivation and fighting through disadvantages. It had nothing to do with changing culture. This part was the most telling to me and sums up what he was getting at.

That is a good message to tell any college student of any race and it has nothing to do with changing culture.

Places like Kingston are the most dangerous areas in the world. Where black gangs are killing each other in drug wars. Black people are poor and uneducated. They shouldn't expect for other countries to help them out. They have to be accountable and make their own country better. The Jamaican black ran government is failing its citizens by not bring in a lot of domestic or foreign companies to employ its citizens and help boost its economy. Or stopping the rampant violence of black on black killings. Not many children are aspiring to be doctors or lawyers like many people in West Africa are doing. The Jamaican immigrants in U.S. are achieving less economically than other foreign immigrants in the U.S. They know that the odds are against them, so they shouldn't have any excuse for underachieving.

Here is the thing though, she basically knew that it would get that national coverage and trickle down to individuals just like it has on the board. So she picked the right way to do it. Whether she travels to 100 local schools or just does it once the message got out.
