All of that was worse back then. Murder rates, drug use, black on black crime, was way worse back then. And our educational/economic achievment is better than its ever been. So again how are we taking steps back?

You need to quit listening to what non-minorities are saying about YOUR people. They are making you view your own people in a negative light. Judging by your posts in this thread, you'd rather regurgitate what they are telling you about your people instead of looking at things for what they really are.

How can we fight if we don't know who the enemy is? How can I teach my son to overcome racism/inequality if I don't teach him what it is?

c'mon man dont flip it on me you were the one that said that I am sounding like them, that tells me that you are listening. I am a grown man, I make my own decisions and what I am telling you came from my mouth, you just brought them up so dont flip it and say i need to stop listening to them because its making me view my people in a negative light.

I have more education than 90% of them so no one can tell me what to think.

:why:...yeah thats the attitude?! slap the **** out of these "boot strap" dudes...really?....and no our great leaders fought so we can have opportunity and uprise.....and they were successful doing this because we have opportunities we would never had dreamed of back 40 years ago...They are rolling over in there grave right now seeing that we took two steps forward and a large step back with what is going on in our inner cities. You are bashing the wrong people here and calling the wrong people c00ns, thats the problem now a days, a black man tries to excel and you talk about uncle tom, c00n etc, just like in schools I speak to these little kids that I see doing well and they tell me the kids in the school call them "nerds, and whiteboys, and geek etc...wtf its instilled in us from young when you see someone stepping out box and people are not seeing it. Society has created their own greatest enemy and trust me the "man" loves this...yeah they make it hard for us and we have dont have it easy as them but society are keeping themselves down with the chances they do have.
Honestly these new age young kids are bytches. I got called a nerd, geek, never a white boy though and so what? It wasn't a bad thing that I got good grades and funny i didn't take as them making fun of me either cause we still hung out. It was just a little teasing to me but nope these flimsy nikkas y'all coddling nowadays all emo shyt disgusting. Also when I hear folks called white boy it's usually how they talk or things they do that stereotypically white people do not this silly nikka "I speak well" sillyness. I don't see no problem with that honestly but I really need blacks to get off that special negro syndrome cause you think your different. Kevin Du-rant over Lol. I just get so tired of hearing this from blacks though.

No I'm comparing the fight for equality. He started the fight and we need to finish it.

I won't say its a waste of time, but its...not going to get that much better.

Blacks are 12% of the population at this point.

They ain't gonna outnumber all the law enforcement, business owners, and legislators out there anytime soon to change the perception and treatment towards people of melanin influence.

We have hate crime laws. We have housing legislation. We have discrimination clauses.

What more do ya'll want?

Outside of the prison industrial complex, nikkas just gotta get it together.

You trying to think about your jail sentence compared to your white cell mate don't mean shyt. You should have taken care of that BEFORE you were even arrested. :shaq2: At that point, I can't save you.

Real progress comes from within.

No one can validate your sense of self more than you can.

Your argument is the same as theirs almost verbatim. You even implied that we are going backwords which is totaly false. Where did you get those ideas from?

In Dr. Kings time people told him the same things. Yet he kept fighting.

exactly what I am saying, they dont realize its not making things better, thats why i said its a cycle it will be like this since we are not willing to make changes. Kids will see parents being ignorant these facts so will have the same mindset so at the end of the day we are our own enemies in a sense just making it harder for positive change, and notice i said "WE" since they want to act like i am selling out my people, and call people who are willing to think out the box and make it "c00ns" etc..

Oh...so you NOW you acknowledge we're better off today than in the 70s.

See how that works? :youngsabo:

:wow:

So if less is holding you back today, at what point do you look INWARDS, young brother?

Y'all have this idea that one can't look inwards and at the same time fight for equality. In realty you can and its what has gotten is this far.

The fight will never end because ignorance will always exist. I try to look at what we can do to make our community better. How can we improve ourselves without waiting for the other side to do something to better our situation? There are a lot of positive and successful stories that come from poor/bad situations because there are individuals who decide to better themselves. It can be done breh, we just gotta push the individuals who think they have no hope.

You're not thinking outside the box. Nothing you've said in this thread is new or innovative. Your just repeating the same arguments that have been used against your people for years. Why can't you see that?

bruh. The tea party was about economics and policy. Not institutional racism. :comeon:

That alone makes me wonder what you're bytching about.

No one is saying you can't push for institutional change but WE ARE NOT DOING ENOUGH ON OUR OWN.

We simply ARE NOT.

And i hate to keep saying this, but I SWEAR to you that you'll wish you'd listened when Obama was in office.

This is the last ditch effort for nikkas to get it together. After 2016, its a WRAP for the black man.

WTF :mindblown:

I list groups that are fighting for their own issues. Doesn't matter if it about being tax to much, corporate greed, or economic inequality. Where in the fukk did I say the Tea Party was fighting for racial discrimination? Complaining is complaining no matter the damn issue they're fighting for.

I'm done with this thread. I swear some the guys in here are undercover st0rmfr0nt trolls.

One more time. WE CAN AND SHOULD DO BOTH.

Fighting for equality and speaking out against racism isn't "waiting" for anything. It's taking the fight to them and holding them accountable for their actions.

Do you think doctor king was "waiting for the other side....."?

It is not what you know it's who you know. Then after that it is how you look.
