Now, I look back and think like damn Aaron McGruder was 100% right on in his views of Obama.

I really don't see myself voting in the next election.

Well said I been thinking this since I saw the thread a couple days ago... She calls a spade a spade..excuses don't correct a problem, the same bs happened to bill Cosby when he spoke about the black society.. Everyone lashed out on him and called him coin this and that and siding with whites. These are just powerful people that had enough guts to speak the truth on blacks. Many of the people who are mad dont see the full scope of the constructive criticism so cycle will never change blacks will still be killing doing senseless killing filling jails in the next 20, 30 and even 50 years because things are getting worse not better.

I was an applicant for the "Deferred Action" program and was approved last month after a long wait....
But just recently when my mother was talking on the phone about something Obama related, I muttered something about how Obama is too weak and I got a dirty look from her and she went back to talking
Even without her saying anything, I already know she probably has the mindset that he helped me out tremendously with that. Which is true and I appreciate that from him...
But I would guarantee that she expects me to be complacent and to be incapable of criticizing him forever because of it....
My point is that we as black people in general seem to be having that same mindset in every case...
For people who are not able to sympathize with my case of Deferred action.....the alternative would probably be for "ObamaCare". The people who do benefit from that....they would probably also get that same dirty look like I got as if to say that is enough and they are incapable forever of criticizing Obama for anything else...
Like you said I am tremendously disappointed in this man....
And unless he makes some drastic changes, I do not see anything changing.....

that is the whole point people see it as a way out of the hood and it should not be...for every athlete living in the top not neighborhoods you better believe there are wealthier people next door to them that have wealth for generations in so many different lines of work..investment bankers, ceo's, business owners, executives etc why arent the black people not paying attention to these people? Thats why there is a big class diparity, you are saying u want us to keep being a product of "entertainment " industry thats is a easy way out. yeah do your thing as an athlete but if it fails and you are not the 1/1000000 person to make it to the league at least you can have a backup on making the $$$..

Often Athletes have degrees or some obtain them after they finish their career. It is A way out of the hood, There are hundreds of thousands of examples, check pro sports from just Football and Basketball alone.
