LOL I honestly don't see why people is up in arms for this. WTF did she said that's so wrong?:mindblown:
I read over what she said 100x and tried to play devil's advocate and I couldn't come up with nothing.....Nothing! Regardless of how you feel about the Obama's, Michelle said nothing wrong. I'm pretty sure her whole lecture didn't focus on what we need to do. The moment somebody tries to tell us about us, we're all :patrice::pacspit::what::usure::ufdup::childplease:

Then wonder why our community is the way it is. You may say that "why they gotta tap for the white folks, This white dude did this and I aint hear the 'say Nadda"

There's been time Obama has stepped out his PC lane ( The professor from Boston and Travon Martin) and he has done countless amount of things to help out, but he's not the president of African America. They're other minorities and background that he has to attend to. It's better Michelle say it than a Rush Limbaugh, someone who grew up poor and family went through the struggle. Some Black People don't want to take accountability, we're sometimes hypocrites and words like what Michelle said hurts cause its so close to home.Tell yourself, family and friends to stop trying to live Demonic lifestyles.

whenever somebody tells you that back in the days youth was this or that, but today youth is messing up its bullshyt. just like today you have young people in the past who strived for an education and others that did whatever the equivalent to playing video games and aspiring to be rappers was.

spend money on the school system and lower the hurdles to get a decent education. don't come and give me a cop out blame the vicitims speech were you act as if drop out rates were high due to young people aspiring to be rappers and ball players. if anything, that's a symptom, not the cause of the problem. fukk talking about being a role model and shaking up your cousins so they'll take their education seriously. spend money on the education system, do something about the sky high tuition fees, fight the root causes of the problem, but don't ever come and blame the victims if you want me to take you seriously.

if i had been there and would have had the opportunity to speek i would have got up and told her

Is tuition a deterrent? Are they really victims? you gotta get it how you live, there are scholarships out there. 5 $250 scholarships add up. Its free money though, nikkas act like they are allergic to it though.

We need to find out what motivates nikkas, what engages them. nikkas dont want to be the best nikka they can be, nikkas are content with just being a decent or good nikka. nikkas dont want to be cutting edge, or innovative, just in. If a nikka gets a job at H&R Block he aint tryin to be the best tax representative at the office, hes cool with punchin in and punchin out and believe he's ready to punch the fukk out.

nikkas would want to go to school more if there was a job, that just paid there way through everything, kinda like being a doctor but without all the schooling and hard work. Little white kids want to be doctors, firemen, astronauts then in a garage band or rock and roll, fukk it student council president, valedictorian, national honor society and junior national honor society. Lil black kids dont have the same aspirations, they want to either rap or play a sport and they hold on to that dream through middle and then to high school where they either skate by or dropout. They arent trying to go to school for sports science, coaching or sports management so they can be coach or own a team or work within a team, they arent in band so they can play an instrument or going to school for music and production, theyd rather download fruity loops and make shytty beats for years before actually making a decent one then getting lessons from someone in the biz.

iono, theres something about engagement and motivation that our youth is missing. like little white kids can hack the shyt out of android phones and design apps, little nikkas know how to record a video and upload it to worldstar, we go to the some of the same schools and in this day and age have access to the same shyt but we just arent engaged and motivated

What's bullshyt? nikkas aren't engaged or motivated. They want. But that's not motivation or engagement. I can want a BMW or Mercedes. It's motivation and engagement that will make me work to save up the dough to get one. Do they want to go to school (post secondary) yes. But what is it that is a strong enough deterrent to make them say fukk it. Comin from poor homes and lack of resources and negative environment isn't much of an excuse anymore more people than ever have and are overcoming those once huge arguments. There are so many places that have tuition reimbursement and scholarships that if they were engaged or motivated they can do it. It's really not that fukking hard. They aren't turning people away at the door anymore. There are problems that arise way before even considering college like blacks lacking in math geometry and algebra. A reason why universities have taken a hit an Community colleges have grown are from kids who just passed by but now need to take remedial and intermediate courses just to fulfill requirements to get their first foot in the door.

I know a "Thug" who put 11,700 on a truck with rims and all that. My accelerated BA was like 13,700. He paid cash, no loans no payment plan. He was motivation to stunt on hoes and engaged in keeping up his appearance but for something that will last the rest of his life, well you see the choice he made.

You say you've never known any black kids that wanted to be firemen, cops, doctors, join honors societies, etc. Only white kids want to do that. And never aspire to only be sports stars or entertainers.

lol. I have nothing to say to you then.

My whole body will be made of pure Gold when someone so close to office decides to actually states the real root of the problem and not just elaborate on the outcome which is materialisitic hypnosis and false messiah worship

This is pretty funny cause so many chastise them for NOT speaking on the "black condition" ...but when they do, ya'll can't handle it.

the speech is a cop out. she could have told the graduates that she is proud of them, and that they serve as an inspiration for the next generation of black youth. she could have told them that it is important that they have role models they can look up to when they want to become lawyers and doctors and teachers, things that not too long ago seemed impossible to reach for them. she could have told them that they prove to the world that black people are not only rappers or athletes. that would have been inspirational. what she did instead was insult those in attendence by reinforcing white peoples stereotypes.

Well it's a gross over generalization either way. Either its only in the burbs where being from the hood and having positive role models aren't a problem for blacks or just that it's not a mainstream goal for blacks (ie people don't look at our children and expect them to want to be a policemen? What about no snitching? Be a firemen? Sure put out the fire to the project building that the crackhead started ) its a gross over generalization that most black moms want their son to make it to the league, and of course positive role models of both genders are not present. While I find that often a pops is gone there's an uncle or gramps to take their place, not be there father but a positive male role model that is older. A lot of kids see it as all or nothing though. No pops? fukk it ima wild out even though I have an uncle or gramps that will die for me.

There is no engagement or motivation. And I apologize but can you think of anything to engage or motivate an assembly of bad ass kids whose grades suck and probably won't graduate or will drop out? We all want to empathize with their situation and complain about the system but that doesn't evoke change. That's not going to turn a light on in their head and make them hit the books harder than ever. Or try to prove the math teacher who said they are too dumb to learn wrong. Often I feel the bashing of public education and it's effect on minority students is just fukked up because changes aren't made afterwards. So these kids knowingly go to fukked up schools and don't care. It's like a cop out. You can do good At a fukked up school, you can turn in homework, learn material and such.

Like I keep saying there is a lack of motivation and engagement. There isn't much of a drive, the only drive seems to often be getting out of school. I know some motivation comes from home but what else is missing? I hate asking silly cbs questions, but are youth black youth more likely to spend all day shooting in the gym or creating dozens of mix tapes rather than hitting the books and investing in themselves...every culture as hobbies but our hobbies are almost our total objective. Like I said we aren't innovators though, we will play the fukk outta Madden but we aren't trying to get inside EA to make it better. We will play the fukk out of basketball but we aren't trying to coach, own a team etc.

:ohlawd: exactly....i like the first First Lady...but she is wrong....

she's not helping the situation by fratenizing in public with Coke Boy supreme "JAY-Z" and Miss Bootylicious "BEYONCE"......

although they are rich and powerful , they don't set the best examples for the youth as well......

but i guess they get a pass because they are RICH AND POWERFUL, just like Miss OPRAH "I hate Misogonyst RAP" WINFREY but i'm down with JAY-Z and DIDDY simply because they speak my language which is the language of BIG MONEY....

i tell ya........Globalists say the Darndest things....

Shes just contradicting herself. Shes right, but she herself is sending the wrong message with her other comments, like saying she wants to be a celebrity that makes songs about dikk sizes. :usure:

Did you hear the entire speech? If so, wouldn't you have noticed she did this?

We need to find out what motivates nikkas, what engages them.

This was good...then you fucced it up with the rest of your post.

nikkas dont want to be the best nikka they can be, nikkas are content with just being a decent or good nikka. nikkas dont want to be cutting edge, or innovative, just in. If a nikka gets a job at H&R Block he aint tryin to be the best tax representative at the office, hes cool with punchin in and punchin out and believe he's ready to punch the fukk out.

What kinda bullchit is this? You just know a nicca don't "want to be the best nicca they can be", huh? What's wrong with trying to be a "decent" or "good nicca"?

Many times, these "decent" or "good niccas" aren't chasing waterfalls. If that's what you're trying to say, it's all good. But to just presume off top that a dude workin' at H&R Block isn't trying to be his best is what's wrong with other "niccas".

nikkas would want to go to school more if there was a job, that just paid there way through everything, kinda like being a doctor but without all the schooling and hard work. Little black kids do want to be doctors, firemen, astronauts, and all of that too...but they don't know how to be that. This is why - as you said earlier - we need to figure out what motivates them and cultivate that.

A young man doesn't know what in the blue hell sports science is unless someone shows him what it is. And he doesn't know how to be a coach - hell some of us grown dudes would like somebody to show us how to do that (lol).
Many of them can't be in band because their schools don't have music programs...even if they do, they can't afford the instrument. And how are they gonna get lessons from someone in the biz?

iono, theres something about engagement and motivation that our youth is missing. like little white kids can hack the shyt out of android phones and design apps, little nikkas know how to record a video and upload it to worldstar, we go to the some of the same schools and in this day and age have access to the same shyt but we just arent engaged and motivated

"Engagement" in what?
"Motivated" to do what?

I see a lot of parents putting their kids in soccer...what if the kid doesn't want to do that?

I see a lot of parents putting their kids in piano lessons...what if the kid doesn't want to do that?

A lot of kids, young kids, already are interested in doing something, work with that. Personally, if I knew back then what I knew now, I might be some kind of city planner/civil engineer. But I had no idea that was the "grown-up" title for what I wanted to do - I figured it out too late. Instead of telling youth what they should do, we need to see what we can do to help them figure it out for themselves.

It's a completely valid criticism. If it makes yall mad to hear it, it's probably because the truth hurts. :manny:

Anything she said about Beyonce or whatever is irrelevant to the topic at hand. The truth of the matter is that black culture DOES need to change.
