Let's act like players like Michael Olawakandi and Travis Knight existed in Russell's time.

Let's act like Jordan played against a rival as great as Wilt--and dominated.

Pretty sure we've had this argument before on here but Wilt was better than Bill Russell.

Wilt was more dominant than Jordan, Shaq, and anybody else that's ever played.

Jordan is the GOAT in terms of worldwide impact and pure all around skill, but not in terms of sheer physical domination on both ends of the floor.

I'd say Wilt is #1.

The Jordan rules was a fairly simple strategy honestly. Funnel Mike into a double team if he tries to go toward the middle of the floor, or force him to the baseline and trap. Schemes weren't really allowed to be more complex than that in the 80's. It's not like how Dallas played Shaq or LeBron in the 2006 and 2011 finals or how the Spurs played defensively in the 2013 finals. Also has 5 MVP awards too. We really should give him more credit than we do.

Factor in the brutal physicality as well. What mj went through cant be compared to anything lebron saw in his life. Like diaw GIVING him wide open jump shots. Y'all lebron fans always try to slide dude next to mike. It's like coco puffs and store brand coco puffs. They look the same and taste similar but it's something different about the real thing




Don't compare that to no 2011 mavs.

Not really sure Serena could beat graf, at graf's apex.
All cause Serena lacked the mechanics to handle steffi slice backhand from the backhand side consistently for an entire match.
Plus move on the run to handle graf and still execute with power replies when the ball was chipped below the net by graf with pace
Where serena does not has never demonstrated the mechanics to handle that execution level consistently.
Also, not sure Serena could handle Monica on supreme mental level before the stabbing as well. As Monica could dig out Serena and was a better mechanical player and played better with more higher pace as a former bolletieri kid either.
I just had this convo earlier. For how long it took Serena to figure out how to beat hingis. I don't ever see Serena figuring out graf or Monica at their height.
Plus i don't see graf or Monica being on court point to point in rallies long enough. for Serena to consistently figure it out because Serena lacks mechanics.

She was not as mechanically sound as mj in her sport to be better than mike..mike is the best actual skill player in the history of sports.
Just for starters mj averaged away from his natural at sg at the point a triple double.

Plus when in any final round from collegiate to pros.
Mike was the end game determining factor to the end championship result.
On top of mechanically and as textbook execution and knowledge mastery of MAKING every shot you could possibly take unduress or under maximum duress AS A TEXTBOOK MECHANICAL FULLY OPERATIONAL AND EXECUTING SKILL.

No one in any sport can say that.
