Michael spit that King Of Pop Game to Lisa Marie

“He truly was misunderstood, he told her. ‘I know you think I’m gay,’ he said. ‘But I’m not. I get tired of people thinking I am gay. But, oh well, fukk them. I know you have heard a lot of things about me, in fact,’ he continued, ‘but most of it isn’t true. And the stuff that is true, you shouldn’t hold against me.’ He winked at her.
‘Hey, I’m a married woman,’ Lisa said. ‘And you’re coming on to me.’
‘Yes, but are you happy?’ Michael asked.
‘No.’
‘See?’ Michael remarked. ‘I knew that. You look like a woman who needs to let go and have some fun. You look like a woman who needs to hook up with me”

I have all those albums, but that's Prince in a nutshell he's a artist first and a hitmaker second. All of albums had great songs on them even if they weren't super-hits.

I hear you but i just don't see it that way.

when you have artists like Michael Jackson, U2, Eminem, Stevie Wonder, who have been at this for decades, and just about every album they drop is critically acclaimed, highly anticipated AND people love the music - this kinda knocks prince out of the discussion...

I understand being an artist and a musician, but those people playing at those pubs in your city that you WON'T be going to see tonight are "artists" too so to me that's not saying much...

I'm a prince fan, I own a lot of his albums and like i said bought that new one just the other day...but he just has too much forgettable skippable music in his catalog to be on that level of a great entertainer...great musician/artist absolutely...but he isn't the same player in the game as he was in the 80's and 90's..
