Which teams can make this happen? Are any of them contenders?

The Nets, the Wizards, the Hornets will have the cap space

Also were the Heat considered a contender when he signed with them in 2019? I remember the dominant narrative being that he chose money & lifestyle over winning when he picked them instead of other teams like Philly or the Clippers

He wanted to be a part of #HeatCulture and Wade was in his ear. Either way, that situation is much more feasible for him to go there and then they contend (which they did)

The teams you listed don't seem like they'd be interested. Going off of his list, he wants to stay in a decent weather location but also on a contending team. Houston being the most green team due to their youth, but Dallas, and Golden State would be in that category.

I say all this to say, there aren't many options for him to get a max contract and also be on a contender. I can see OKC maybe if they have the means to open up space. Sign Jimmy to a short contract and go all in with their roster. Denver could be a team also with MPJ being the player going back to Miami. Outside of that, I don't see it.

This isn't about who the better player is. I'm looking at it from the lens of which guy do I think will be playing better for a longer period of time.

I'm asking who has more trade value all things considered, which honestly, depends on the team making the trade. Jimmy being an expiring that can leave is the only reason I brought it up.

DUDE ZACH BEEN PUTTING UP
25-27 PTS FOR THE LAST 5-6 YRS
AND NOBODY WANTED HIM BUT THE PISTONS.

YES TEAMS LOOKING TO WIN NOW
WILL TRADE FOR JIMMY OVER DUDE IN
A HEARTBEAT REGARDLESS OF AGE
AND CONTRACT

22PPG
4REB
4AST
51-FG%
43-3P%
Salary: 43.3M

vs

19PPG
5REB
5AST
56-FG%
36-3P%
Salary: 48.8M

One player is 35 the other turns 30 in March

It still limits their options is all I'm saying. The Player Option makes it even worse
Only 1 player has shown they are worth anything when it comes to winning

I'd say last year was the only year Zach was untradeable, and that was because the Bulls looked terrible, he was playing hurt and looked bad.

Prior to last year, this wasn't the case at all. There were reports and Laker fans open to trading AD for LaVine in 2022.

Ok, and he's 35 with a player option worth more than 50M. I'd say there's the same amount of teams that would trade for either player.

Which was my initial point when I asked the question.

No contender wants him. If they did he’d be gone.

Any contender trading for him will have buyers remorse

That’s just the top teams who project to have cap space, still a lot of time for teams to make moves to clear more space, also you can’t discount the possibility of a sign and trade which is how Miami got him in the 1st place

There aren’t a lot of options but there doesn’t need to be. Whether he hits free agency in 2025 or 2026, it’s likely going to be Jimmy’s last shot at a big payday. If hypothetically the Nets offer him the max, I highly doubt he’s taking a big paycut to go to a better team. After all, he wasn’t willing to take a paycut to stay in Philly and ain’t trying to take one now in Miami

Ok, now tell me if there are more contenders in the league vs teams that aren't.

Let's talk through this step by step then eventually, you may start understanding my point.

No team besides a contender would trade for Jimmy.

It’s a silly point you’re attempting. You worse than these car warranty people who call me daily lol

Portland
Houston

Would thibs push the knicks head office for a trade based around some sort of package including bridges or McBride ,:sas2:

McBride X haporkti and future picks and pieces
Or bridges X haporkti and picks X pieces
for Jimmy

Since most teams know he would bounce in the off season , kant see to many teams wanting to give up to much for a rental

But if Jimmy helps the Knicks grab a ring :patrice:

@KnickstapeCity x @Peter Popoff
