I’d do it if I was Houston before everyone realizes their young core is actually kinda mid .

Outside of Thompson it’s kinda quiet

Low key, OKC would make a lot of sense for Jimmy. It's anybody's guess with the new cap rules but I put in Dort, Wallace, Wiggins and Joe for Jimmy in the Fanspo trade machine and it worked (OKC can add as many picks as they want).

Jimmy's only taking 11 shots in Miami but gets to the line 7.5 times a night, which is one of OKC's weaknesses. Plus, he'd be the extra ball handler they need. They could absorb his salary next year too if he opts in without it affecting their apron status. His contract would run out when Chet and J-Dub are due extensions as well.

not worth it to give all that up for a guy who might walk

It still limits their options is all I'm saying. The Player Option makes it even worse

A lot of interesting factors here. Miami obviously doesn't wanna pay an aging, injury prone star into his late 30s. Jimmy wants his money and to contend. New rules limit their trade options. Who is gonna have cap space next summer? Is 35 year old Jimmy the top FA? Dudes be getting locked up in these extensions so he might be. Are teams gonna be lining up to for this version of Jimmy through his late 30s? Is he gonna wanna go to said team?

Unless he wants to got to the Nets or Wizards - not a lot of options. I think the Spurs can free up a bit of space to add him if they really wanted to.

TYRONE GA!
Problem is health and age.

If he's still opting out, they'd need to find a trade partner of someone wanting to dump salary.

Get rid of MPJ in Denver? Brad Beal contract?

This isn't about who the better player is. I'm looking at it from the lens of which guy do I think will be playing better for a longer period of time.

I'm asking who has more trade value all things considered, which honestly, depends on the team making the trade. Jimmy being an expiring that can leave is the only reason I brought it up.
