Not really. Hurley met with Pelinka and Buss. It was real. But Woj was clearly helping his friend out.

That honestly seems like he did it to be petty and get his boy Hurley some extra cash, cause you can say what you want but Hurley was made an offer and would be the Lakers coach if he wanted it

I also think the fact that Jimmy and his agent are working back channels to get him to a specific destination probably pissed Riley off as well

At the end of the day, he was gonna do what’s best for the heat and not take a shyt deal just to make jimmy happy, especially for how difficult it appears Jimmy has been the last season and a half at least
