Why? Consider the violenceI've always been surprised there isn't an NFL team or NBA in Mexico city.
U lost a team for a reasonWhy can't Seattle have a NBA team??
What did they do to get disrespected like this?
They have EVERYTHING already, just pick the players!
you gonna have to explain this
The Asian market is impossible due to distancePlus I don't think players would be opposed to playing there compared to Mexico City. I also think the NBA really wants that Asian market.
Also there could be a good rivalry between Vancouver and Toronto.
I’d prefer UNLV to stay Vegas’ “pro basketball team” in terms of interest, but if football does decently (hockey is already doing well so far), an NBA franchise is inevitable.
OkDemographics have changed since the Grizzlies were there. A lot of Asians live there now (mostly Chinese) with money and most of them like basketball.
Vancouver is NBA-ready (Part 4): Gateway to Asia
When the refs miss a call and it costs them a playoff gamefolks sounding ignorant
mex city low key is one of the most popping cities ive ever been to. broads on 10 and its a massive city with a ton to do. Food on point too I'd rather live there than somewhere like milwaukee
the security concerns are legit, trying to imagine adam silver in meeting rooms with the cartel leaders, breaking them off a chunk for a peaceful season
However, fanbase would be massive, as anyone who is familiar with san antonio spurs fanbase will tell you. Mexicans love their hoops / american sports and its a mostly untapped market. Real potential for the NFL & NBA to open up shop out there if they can get over the security hurdle.
Do UNLV games sell out?I’d prefer UNLV to stay Vegas’ “pro basketball team” in terms of interest, but if football does decently (hockey is already doing well so far), an NBA franchise is inevitable.
NBA needs to get rid of Minnesota, Detroit, Atlanta, Brooklyn
They have no fan bases
Move them to Seattle and Vancouver
