They do exist. I know i seen him perform to the what the blood clot and mr sandman records in concert on youtube

I mean they don't exist to the public. There's a show vinyl or something that has every single instrumental, but only Meth's DJ & the RZA would have access to that

Jilla82 doesnt speak for NYC at all. Everything he said is the opposite of what I remember in the city.

I was working after school at the world trade center and spending my lil money on weed and chinese food and that tape was my go to...I had both Tical and Keith Murrays first album on 1 tape. And the Tical side always got more burn. And too me I felt that Tical slighted Redmans Darkside album which was also my go to Late 94. Early 95 I remember the reaction the crowd had in Minisink when Shorty started singing and then the beat dropped and Meth started rapping on Release Yo Delf. I'll never forget that reaction. Cutting school with my friends...Putting on Tical and everyone repeating "Whats that shyt u think u smoking" as track 1 commenced. Hot 97 gave all 3 singles love and the played the All I Need remix nonstop. U ask if it was forgettable. Dude...Meth was the best rapper on the planet when that album dropped. Some teenager got killed in a debate over who was the best between Biggie, Nas and Meth. Biggie had to get on Hot 97 and do a PSA indirectly addressing it. I remember a few months later ODB had to do a PSA right before his song Shimmy Shimmy Ya came on letting people know he only likes his music "raw" because there was an issue of him promoting unsafe sex on that song. Was Tical forgettable after those other Wu releases? Hell no.....I always felt that album was perfect, grimey and gritty hip hop at its finest. Biscuits and the original All I Need sounding like video arcade game beats. The sinister sound of What The Blood Clot. What The Blood Clot is what gave me my angel dust curiosity due to Rza making it sound cool at the end of the song. I will always attribute What The Blood Clot being the reason why I got into PCP at one point. Those other albums never did that tho Cuban Linx did have me curious to taste Cristal. Never forgetting what influences a person to smoke Angel Dust is the exact opposite of something being forgettable.
dog the Tri State area was on some whole other shyt from the country.
Im from Chicago.

But no...people were not feeling Tical like that.

I remember my first time going to NYC in like 96, and folks were trying to put me on to some clothing line named Rico (I think that was the name)...
...I remember my mind being blown cuz I had never heard of that shyt.

Very well done, these mixes make it really enjoyable to experience these albums in another way.

That to me is annoying as hell. They need to release that shyt to the public. The instrumentals are songs alone themselves. I actually collect instrumental vinyls and would love to get my hands on some hard to find ones.

Same here....just copped the Mos Def, Black Star, Diamond D 'Hatred Passions', and some other instrumental records lately. Ayo.....do you got the INI 'Center Of Attention' instrumentals or the Pete Rock & CL Smooth 'Main Ingredient' instrumentals on vinyl?

Yeah I was mad when I heard that a show vinyl for ATCQ Beats Rhymes Life was kickin around and got sold privately to someone on Ebay. Don't know why artists don't start releasing them on vinyl .....they would create a whole new revenue stream out of old classics, especially nowadays with the vinyl resurgence and streaming etc

To me it's a very dope album.
I understand the disappointment tho.
It's because we didn't really understand the Wu.
For example meth was the most popular but honestly he isn't the most talented or creative musically.
Listen to return to the 36 Chambers the dirty version. I mean that album is so creative and distinctive.
People were expecting a genre redefining album. Instead meth delivered a gritty Shaolin album that while solid didn't expand upon anything.
How many people were checking for raekwon before the 1st solos dropped. While he was a dope rhymer no one would have said he was their favorite. And yet he dropped the purple tape co starting gfk.
Which was hella weird. Why would you drop as a duo? And the name only built for Cuban links. Wtf?
And this ghost face Killa guy. He seemed like he wasn't an mc but a street dude.
And then you listened to the album and realize that this album has redefined and expanded upon the Wu Tang mythology.
I could go on if y'all interested .......

That's the first place I always look.....it's how I copped those ones I was telling you about above. Can't find decent copies of the Cl Smooth or the INI for a reasonable price
