Ok theres like a few ways this has been going down.
Guy remixes shyt. Calls it a remix. This is NOT what meth is talking about. Hes talking about purposley fronting like its new material and then driving their channels with it and only they get paid.
1. The other way is the channels take ug songs with no copyrights, mixtape tracks, demos make rando video splices of 20 videos into one, reuploads the song with a video all off beat and shyt and rack up views from IDIOTS who cant tell its fake. SCC channel gets million + views on old meths songs, syncs ug video to it (they own NOTHING) and call theres and drives their channels into making big money.
2. Producer remixes verses from multi different songs and gives it a brand new title unrelated to any of them. I hate this but sometimes its obvious. When its less obvious I get caught with fake bs all the time. This has caused me to just quit looking for newer stuff period.
3. The worst shyt is, there are producers, who run actual hip hop songs into ai, aplit them into drums, bass, samples etc, and then reproduces beats using REAL hip hop songs, while blending in other samples the artist used snd then says THEY produced it. Aka , rza kick from triumph, protect ya neck snare, bass from bring da pain, sample from stax records. Sound effects from a kung fu movie. just stripping wu tang songs for sounds like junkyard parts. Ill see comments like “damn this mix is amazing, drums knocking”. yea because its an already mixed rap song stripped of parts and mashed into another one. So these types come off as “better mixes” more in tune with og songs (because they ARE the og songs) than the real ug shyt and beats it out everytime.
Thats BITING. 101. This i hate the most. But its mostly from like specialist fan specific channels from guys who arent doing it for anything but “love”. Some of them already have patreons tho
Its usally cacs doing this way. They hide behind “im not making a living, or trying to blow”.
