Him staring likely means he's already checked you out and likes what he sees. Men won't look at a woman for more than two seconds if we're not interested.

I'm curious and I've always wanted to ask a man this:

Even though the men that look and stare aren't what I want physically, I would still be grateful if men do say SOMETHING. Why do men stare and follow women but won't say anything? I'm tired of almost being side-swiped in the car by men who are looking too hard. It's creepy. I've had men come over where I'm at in the weight section of the gym and "show out". Why do men (well, some men, in my case, all of them) do these things? I honestly don't get it. It makes me feel weird. And when I put on lipstick I get "them lips guh!" ... I've had men try to kiss my cheek (bold ass men and I'm never alone I'm always with my mom). It scares me. But the staring and looking hard....I just want an honest answer: Why? It's very confusing because I don't know what it means.

You answered the question yourself.

"Even though the men that look and stare aren't what I want physically"

That's still rejection and some figure since they think its likely gonna happen, might as well just try to avoid it completely. So they'll look, but try not to engage with what they feel is a pointless interaction. It ain't going anywhere in they mind.

But what about a woman's looks makes a man feel as though it won't go anywhere? Sorry if these questions are strange. I just don't understand what I'm going through out here. It's all strange to me. The men follow me just to look and won't stop but not a single word. That's the part I don't get!

That's what yall do, crave attention. It's a woman thing, so its understandable.

Some just straight up have no confidence and will throw the white flag before even trying. I've been and still can be guilty of this, even though I've been told on multiple occasion I'm a handsome dude. A lot of times, dudes try to fish, throw some bait. They don't have the heart to approach, but want to get your attention hoping you make the first move.

Like this thread is proving though, this is pretty hit or miss. And likely, would have had success if he just said something. Though I do tend to like some hints, it helps greatly. Like for instance if you're in the grocery store, a woman simply asking a dude a thorough question about this food product is a good way to light a trail and allow him to take the bait.

That's either due to shyness or them knowing you're not interested. That little comment at the end is just to make sure and it's usually done by men who have no game.

I've never heard of men trying to kiss women they don't know, so I can't relate to this.

things is all this bullshyt that women spit about other women approaching

let DiCaprio, Iris Elba, Odell Beckham, Lebron James, Tom Brady, or one of them type of cats step in a room with a bunch of broads

see how many of them women put their bid in.....

Now granted all of those re famous cats

But there comes a point for any woman where she sees something about a dude she likes that will cause her to open her mouth

I'm old school and kind of agree with it. If he wants you he'll approach you. I don't believe men should chase women but he should definitely be the initiator.
BUT! I recently saw this guy...maaan he was so fly. He was lookin at me and I was lookin at him. I was kind of thrown off because I don't do light skin, but he was strong and beautiful. Anyway, nobody said anything and we went our seperate ways. Hours later we run into each other again. This time he walks right up to me and starts chatting. 5 min later his coworkers walk up and pulls him away. :why: I was so affected by that man I promise next time I see him he's getting the digits.

Absolutely agree. If I had welcomed him in and pulled him over the first time I saw him the end result would have been so dif. Part of me was mad he didn't shut his coworkers down and continued our conversation. But shyt I cant be mad at anyone but myself.
