Somebody help me understand what goes on in the heads of cops when they do shyt like this

Like...not only morally, but logically? Did they think they were just going to kill this guy and go home like nothing happened? Didn't they realize they were throwing their lives and careers away? What would even motivate this type of behavior? Even when I've been shytface drunk around people I don't really like I've never actually wanted to kill somebody, much less actually tried to do so.


Honestly I just don't get it from a psychological point.

It's about feeling they can do what they can get away with. It's just not cops.

Think about the type of people that want to be cops to begin with. There is probably a small segment of people that just see it as a job and they know they have to eat and they have a family to support so they have to do what they have to do.

Now think of the larger segment of people that want to be cops. They have been wanting that job their whole lives. They have dreamed about it day in and day out. They feel like the gun and a badge gives them a power that they have never had and everybody better respect it (think George Zimmerman). Then they have a self righteous point of view that they and they alone is all that stands between good and evil and that without them that anarchy would ensue. Then you deposit that type of clown vantage point into a White Supremacists structure that says that you are our brother and it is us against them. The them being the taxpayers that pay their salaries, especially the Black ones. Then toss in Union protection; political protection from their supervisors and elected officials; protection from prosecutors and judges (most of whom were former prosecutors); media slob knobing and a Supreme Court decision that gave the cops qualified immunity and you have the sanctioning of American psychopaths with badges and guns to carry out off the books actions of the State.

Everybody, including elected officials, know that there are a bunch of Derek Chauvin's and Drew Petersons walking around, but they clearly don't see them as a problem. The people that protect cops know who the bad cops are. It is highly unlikely that the cops accused and or convicted of murder don't also have multiple other complaints against them for excessive force or misconduct, yet those fools are allowed to stay employed or are allowed to move onto other police departments. So they are protected rather than rejected and that is how we get where we are, I am not even sure that cops are required to have psychological exams, which you would think that they should have to take 3 or 4 times a year since they are agents of the State who are allowed to use deadly force.

People who want to abuse power are drawn to it. It sucks because there are people who want to do good who seek power as well.

The 6pm shyt is weird..I guess they are trying to wait until most federal shyt is closed. But the city will get busy at night still..I remember a few years ago they went crazy in Frayser for hours over a dude getting killed by the cops.

The way police culture and this police system is built... Yes, they probably thought it was another regular day at the job.

These cops will be thrown under the bus (and rightfully so) at the expense of keeping the current police system intact. So the utter silence from the right to defend these cops is not surprising. And not to mention the obvious Blue lives matter unless, you know
