The very first song where she’s dissing Tory Lanez she mentions there’s still not justice for Breonna Taylor.

I feel the complete opposite about her beats though. I don’t have any problem with her rapping, but these beats are pretty standard, and some flat out amateurish and sound bad. They’ll probably go off in a club, but it’s some VERY weak beats on here. But...I am a 33 year old dude, and this album simply isn’t aimed it me. It’s basically 100% for women, and particularly 23 and under women :pachaha:With all the connection Megan has with Juicy J (and by proxy Crazy Mike), her production should be way better than she’s had.
That Breonna Taylor was the only line. And I agree with the target audience, it’s not for me either.

I thought it was aight but it's kinda sad that this is making me think much better of Cardi's Invasion of Privacy. Megan does a certain type of song fairly well but then gets redundant and is eh or miss when she switches it up imo.

Yeah Cardi's album actually had variety, polished beats and good choruses/verses.

This is what we thought Cardi's first album would sound like and that ain't good. Feels like something Saweetie would make with all these obvious 90's and 00's remake beats. But Saweetie actually perfected that formula and it makes this look amateur. "Body" has the absolute worst chorus of the year.

Megan needs a good A&R BAD!!!!! They dropped the ball something serious and this should have been her breakthrough project to justify the hype. This won't last til next summer and I predict a new project, deluxe version or single from her by March.

But I forgot you can't critique any women artists and not be called "misogynistic."

I’m appalled at most of the beats Juicy J has given her (or played some part in). All the hard shyt he had, including recent stuff, and THIS is what he gives her :gucci:??? Megan is basically the female Beatking content wise, but if she had Beatking’s production, I wouldn’t have a single complaint. And Lil Ju and JWhite stink :hhh:

Sounded decent on this from dolph album but yea it seems it was intentionally scaled down. Idk probably a label move

:francis:No exaggeration but Don’t Rock Me to Sleep might just have the worst hook I’ve ever heard.

Couldn’t even finish any song in full. I thought Fever & Tina Snow were good because they were short and sweet but this is terrible. She ain’t saying anything interesting that needs a 50min album.

Y’all about to hate my review. Idk if reading y’all replies lowered my expectations but :manny:

Shots Fired - kinda disappointed in this, idk thought it would be harder

Circles - it’s cool, nice sample

Cry Baby - DaBaby and Meg need a collab tape at this point. They can’t miss :ohlawd:

Do It On The Tip - perfect ratchet track, exactly what I expected from Meg x City Girls. Caresha using Nicki’s “sons” line was....interesting. City Girls need to just make a public apology, I don’t think Nicki accepting anything less.

Sugar Baby - soon as I heard the sample I had no choice but to love this :yeshrug:

Movie - I love anything Durk does, he has great chemistry with female rappers. :yeshrug:

Freaky Girls - There was no way I wasn’t gonna like a Meg x SZA track. I love this.

Body - I like and hate this song at the same time. The body part is annoying but catchy.

What’s New - cool, prototype Meg track

Work That - Rodeo sample had me as soon as I heard it. Second verse :noah:

Intercourse - nice to hear Meg on a song w/ this vibe.

Go Crazy - Love it. Sean and Chainz are great with female rappers. I almost listened to this first.

Don’t Rock Me To Sleep - This song should’ve been given to Doja. I just don’t like soft songs by Meg. This one is a definite skip

Outside - love it

This is my favorite female rap album released this year. I didn’t like Suga when I initially heard it but liked almost every track on this. I can hear so many captions listening to this. I don’t see her demographic not liking this album. I’m gonna be shocked if she sells less than 100k. Either way, it’s gonna go platinum. :hubie:
