the industry is really finished as we know it. there's a reason Hov won't drop no Solo and a lot of veterans alike are out the game for the most part. it's not lucrative anymore to sell music unless you are going viral and streaming constantly you need to appeal to the weirdos on tik tok who play the same shyt constantly. streaming really don't work for artists outside of being very viral or having a very loyal fanbase like Taylor Swift.

You have to depend on getting billions of streams to even have a revenue worth shyt. constantly appealing to people with attention deficit. On top of that DSP's like spotify tell YOU what you are streaming. you have no way to audit those numbers or know if they are underreporting to pay out less. You see middle ground artists selling Merch touring and selling vinyl and then you see these "starts" like Megan who sell jack shyt. guess who making more bread?

If these things are actually true they should be charged with fraud. Cause streaming companies make a certain amount of money and distribute it to artists based on their share of the plays. So basically you are defrauding other musicians.
