These are yall heroes?
:mjlol::snoop:

And I bet more than half these dumb new age rappers feel this way. Scared to say anything political b/c they think "the white man" is gonna come after them on some conspiracy theory shyt and lock them up but in a song will say how many black men you shot, how many bricks you move, and how many brawds you tossed leaving a treasure trove of evidence naming names and everything that can get your "probation revoked" and have you go back to jail.

2015 rapper logic yall:aicmon:
The white man took the most fearless nikka in the game (2Pac) and made an example of what happens when you get out of line and now every nikka after him has been cowards. They did the same thing back in the slave days. They took the strongest "Buck" and whipped him within an inch of his life in front of all of the other slaves to the point where he begged for mercy. After that they all got in line. No rapper on the big stage since Pac has been on the same social/political tip that he was on. Them other nikkas got in line like the slaves did.

It's scare tactics. They kill Malcolm and Martin which strikes fear into anyone that want to be in that position which is why Blacks haven't had any true leadership since them.

these cats dont realize that the same tactics that were used to control us in the slave days are STILL being used today. Matter fact, rap music ITSELF is being used to keep us in a certain mindstate. They used religion and the bible back then, today they are using rap music. Like Banner said, this generation is zombies

Repped, but when banner had the chance to say something all he did was make "Like A Pimp" and "Cadillac On 22's". He didn't speak on shyt until he became irrelevant musically.

when was that? Like10years ago? I guess he had to live a little more and gain more life experience:yeshrug:
I think these past 2-3 years are making us ALL more "aware" with all of these things happening, which makes hearing these rappers rap about killing other black people all the more ignorant and frustrating.

Music has the power to uplift, inspire and motivate:

They would NEVER allow 90% of black music to be positive and motivating:francis:
It would literally change the consciousness of the black community.
Music is just that powerful in my opinion.

The music controls the culture. When the "Cool" rappers tell nikkas to wear True Religion they follow. If they used that same voice to educate and inspire the sheep would follow. Since the white man owns the labels and the radio stations they won't allow that message to be distributed the masses. They'd rather give the people a healthy supply of Fetty Wap and Young Thug.
