I read an article this morning about why Kang wasn't in Doctor strange 2 and it basically said the directors didn't want to take the focus off Wanda being the main villain. Now that her arc is over I hope Kang is the villain for the MCU overall while Doom is the primary villain for Fantastic 4.

Well. You just completely spoiled Doctor Strange 2 for me. Where the fukk are the mods during threads like these :gucci:

That's what they get for leading off with fukking Shang Chi :mjlol:

Did they think that mf was gonna be the next Iron man or something?
Should have led with Thor...then Dr Strange...then Spiderman....then Antman...and then you try and ease people into Wack ass Shang chi and polarizing ass Eternals..... They should have lead with familiar faces and franchises that spun off directly from Endgame.....the roll out has been all wrong in my opinion.....Im not gonna even mention forgettable ass black widow... which released at a bad time not just because of covid but because the story needed to be told BEFORE infinity war....or the trainwreck that black Panther 2 is shaping up to be....this phase has been all over the place and I'm glad it's causing concern...
i was thinking the exact same thing

Both will be killed off within 10 years of their introduction.. That decade villian shyt is dead.... Feige even said so. Watch them kill Kang off in Antman.. They running through these shyts
It would be a travesty if they handled Doom like that. He’s the kind of presence who should be a recurring issue, and the MCU as a whole should end with him.

Not gonna read the whole thread right now but I’ll just say it feels like the MCU is getting too watered down. Maybe I’m letting nostalgia get the best of me but each MCU premiere used to feel like a major event and now there’s something coming out every time you turn around.

It was never gonna happen but they needed to let things breathe for a while after Infinity War and Endgame because that was the culminatuon of a decade’s worth of stories. Instead they jumped right into the next phase and started pumping out what feels like nonstop content. Not to mention the quality of the shows on D+ and making it so everything that happened before the Loki finale was preordained. They need to take their foot off the gas.

If what people on Reddit said about Ant-Man III is correct, then Kang is about to be misused and underused and the MCU already peaked if that is indeed the case. Basically, Infinity War/Endgame was MCU at its best, and nothing else can come close to it.

And the X Men ain't coming until 2026.

Doom isn't your typical villan though.

Getting him out the paint is like getting a real life dictator out the paint, you kinda just have to contend with him as an anti-villan unless you want to leave huge power vaccum.

Him seeing the Avengers and government as aggressors and aggitators frame him as the legit good guy in HIS story. A franchise with him as the protagonist would play out more like the Iron Man movies.

As for Kang, you can't really 'kill him off' really but I don't think he can share that much space with Doom for him to not be in and out of the picture with his varients.

If you do Silver Surfer/Galactus correctly, it's better than a Endgame. Mephisto hasn't shown up. Etc.

Don’t think that’s fair to say. A LOT of game-changing heroes/villains haven’t even shown up yet. I’ve been a bit harsh on them lately, as Marvel currently is in a phase similar to one of a high school student who hasn’t found their way yet. A bit directionless, in need of self-evaluation, but they’ll likely rebound in a big way on the storytelling front once the top players show up.

If they're doing Secret Wars they need to get Doom in the mix ASAP. We need the audience to get familiar with him so that:
God Emperor Doom hits that much harder. Imagine getting the Thanos spine ripping scene in live action. The theater would go ape shyt. :blessed:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Magneto and Doom are A+ players..they definitely aren't getting killed off.
Mark my words. They won’t make it 10

This is the main reason I think y’all are off. They’ve said numerous times they won’t do a big bad over the course of years like Thanos again. nikka was in 3 damn phases over 10 years.

They aren’t doing that again. And if they ain’t doing it, then how can you expect to see some guy playing these characters from 2026 to 2036? If Doom pops up in BP2, y’all think we gonna be watching the avengers team 6 fighting him in 2032 still?

Come on fellas

They definitely 'doing that again', the big culmination events are the billion dollar movies. They not leaving that on the table. It is just going to bigger so the foundation of it is taking longer.

I got fatigue when they started making the TV shows. Something about the TV shows made the IPs seem smaller and cheesier if that makes sense. It’s like they lost their charm and I get the feeling it’s an assembly line over at Disney now as opposed to when it first started. Seems like they are taking the Master P approach now.

It was a chore getting through Multiverse. I can’t articulate it, but the movie felt like a video game with some live scenes stuck in there.
