Bynum's post game still needs work to me. He takes too many false steps and turns into traffic instead of away from it.. His size lets him get away with alot..

Yeah his post game isn't fluid at all. It's like he has in his head what move he's going to make before he makes it. So at times we'll turn right into the defense and has no second move. So he'll just hold the ball in the air and shoot it. Luckily his long enough to get away with it. Once he learns to play off what the defense is giving him more he'll be a serious problem.

Jefferson can't pass from the post nor does he have high BBIQ. If he did, he would be amazing.

Yeah between that and his bad foot work at times he winds up getting himself pushed out of position further away from the basket.. At that point he just forces a jumper..

That's one thing I appreciated about shaqs game. Yeah he was stronger than everybody but foot work in the post made him look 10x quicker than most too..

THATS A BLATANT TRAVEL THOUGH...
HE DOES THE CROSSOVER ON THE DRIVE THEN TAKES 2 STEPS...
AT THAT POINT HE MUST TAKE A SHOT ATTEMPT OR PASS THE PASS...
INSTEAD HE STOPS AND STARTS SPINNING ON HIS PIVOT.

NO ONE COULD DEFEND THAT shyt...

that's not a travel. once he picks up his dribble his pivot foot stays planted until he goes up for the shot. he basically pivoted in a complete circle. pump faking at each turn.

no joke, but when would you say the post game by most PF's/C's died off by most bigs? Most of them want to play outside the paint now. You got 6'11 Perry Jones trying to be like Durant. I honestly think in this decade, since the emergence of Dirk and 'Sheed, who can shoot the 3 ball, and the way they could step out and there high-arched shots, nobody could stop there shot. KG and Duncan can step out, but they aren't 3-point shooters. Most 4's and 5's want to try to shoot outside, and you got DEmarcus Cousins trying to shoot 3's. :scusthov:

:what: ARE YOU BLIND?
THE nikka TAKES 2 STEPS AFTER HE PICKS UP HIS DRIBBLE.
YOU GOT VISION PROBLEMS, A shytTY MONITOR OR HES MOVING TOO FAST FOR YOU.

5:06 MARK FOR ANOTHER ANGLE.
HE CROSSES, TAKES 2STEPS TOWARDS THE BASKET,
THEN STARTS SPINNING ON HIS PIVOT.

I blame bad youth coaching, the prison industrial complex (specifically the 100/1 crack-cocaine laws) for incarcerating dads, deadbeat dads, and Magic Johnson.

so you're saying he traveled on the gather?:shaq2:

that would be a petty call. he picked his dribble and stopped, if you called everyone who didn't instantly freeze like a game of redlight greenlight they'd be whistling all game. refs aren't gonna call that and they shouldn't. in any case i thought you were trying to say that his pivot moves were traveling.:yeshrug:

The pivot is what makes it blatant imo. Once you take two steps and stop, you're supposed to give the ball up (pass or shoot), they give you some leeway, but in the gif Dream stopped, ball faked twice, then took another step off his pivot:ohhh:. That's just not fair. Still a great move though.:myman:

It's a travel. But arguing "that should have been a travel" in the NBA is like arguing "that's a carry" - It's never been called by the book consistently in the Modern era.

After the cross he did pick it up like barry sanders, though. :usure:

I'll say this: I've always been more amazed by McHale than Dream. Not because was better, obviously - but because EVERYTHING HE HAD was attained-skill. He was a super average natural athlete, and he drilled, and drilled, and drilled footwork. Drilled and Drilled and Drilled touch. Drilled and Drilled and Drilled position. He knew - every time he caught the ball - what his options were based on where his man was, what kind of speed/size matchup it was, and how far he was from the hoop.

Given the choice - I would take Dream all day. On my team, as my teammate - but McHale clips never cease to amaze me.
