I was referring to the Versus aspect.

@NYC Rebel: :childplease: He wasn't beasting on Hakeem no more than Hakeem was beasting on him during that series. In Hakeem 2nd year, he lead the Rockets in scoring in the Finals. Hakeem had 24.7 and Mchale had 25.8 but Hakeem beat him in every other category

oh my bad - u dont think they skills in the block is comparable? From what I see they both look like the top two most advanced low-post scorers in history - the way they fake the crap out of u and lay down countermove on top of countermove until u bite look worthy of comparison to me - I wasn't referrin to h2h matchups, they didn't go at it 1 on 1 often enough during games - they both are murder on the block is all im tryna say

Im exaggeratin a bit to make a point. Big men in the L don't exploit back to the basket potential like I think they should when they should (early... not half way into a career...). Maybe im being harsh but I'm just seein too many Blake Griffin's, Amare Stoudemires, KD's and Lebron's in this L... big's that all wanna rely on forward skill like drives and dunks and jumpers and these guys wait years before they decide to develop back to basket skill

yeah I know, and you have a point. Kobe's post game is def better than Blake and Amare which is :why: but he really doesn't use it that much.

What about Alridge? Does he have any post game?

And stay blessing us w/the clips.

I gotta watch it again.

From what I remember....McHale was simply giving it to everybody. There was a point in the series where Parrish was forcing Akeem into awkward shots, pinning up under the basket, especially in cheating ass Boston.

I have to watch it again.

I was hoping Andre Drummond would end up in Houston, only so McHale could work with him everyday.

didnt work out for Ndudi Ebi and KG was never a great low post scorer (he is good tho).

This shyt has to be drilled in well before they reach the NBA.

that, and coaching which probably goes hand and hand with low post scorers, are the biggest reasons why international teams are catching up with the USA.

you get a big man who can do work in the paint offensively and defensively, and you instantly have a dangerous playoff team.

Jefferson gets underrated because his team is irrelevant and keeps missing the playoffs but i won't disagree with you.

he doesnt play good defense

if he was just an average defender, he would have already made the playoffs.
