McDonalds negative profits - Google Search

This year they are kind of recovering, but for how long... But revenue has dropped every year since 2013

Streamlining Won't Boost McDonald's Corporation Long Term

Why are you getting angry and hurling insults. Lol we’re having a discussion, and I appreciate your opinion.

Revenue is used (along with other factors) to dictate profitability. Stock prices indicate more than profitability. They also indicate shareholder confidence, etc etc.

Mcdobalds made 22 billion last year after operating cost. And their stock is 160 dollars a share now doubling in price every 5 to 7 years.

If that is not profitable so are a ton of other companies throughout the world.

shyt I wish they really weren't profitable so it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg to buy a franchise.

Also the easiest way to increase revenue is to reduce work force. That is why every company goes to that when it comes to increasing revenue.

Homie I was an IE coming out of college. Whenever management wanted us to come up with cost savings the goal was to reduce 1 to 3 workers on the line....shyt is easy math.
Exactly, which can dictate a shareholders confidence in a stock, which in turn can cause the stock price to rise. We’ve been reading about McDonald’s automation for almost 10 years now.

Their revenue has been descreasing since 2013. Stock prices don’t tell the whole story.... the foreign market is the reason Mickey D’s stays afloat. In some of these countries like Kuwait, India, China, it is seen as
a “treat” or luxury item.

Breh after 2013 their revenue fell from 28 bill which was their highest revenue ever. To where it is today 22 billion.

You realize that revenue can be dictated by cutting operational costs? You also realize that their are more people in so called rural areas and fly over states than big cities.... (these places where mcdonalds is often the biggest restaurant in town).

Saying Mcdonalds isn't profitable is like saying Lockheed Martin wasn't profitable when Obama got in office in 2009 and started slashing the defense budget.

Breh what that got to do with you saying mcdonalds isn't ptofitable...:mjlol:

I just said you can increase revenue by cutting overhead. You out here making it seem like Mcdonalds bleeding money and about to go under.

So what's your solution?

Jobs die all the time breh. Where do you think a Sam Goody's clerk works now?
I’m not saying technology doesn’t replace labor. I’m saying that to sarcastically title the thread “good job $15 protestors” is inherently blaming the poor for this situation. And that sort of bullshyt is the byproduct of decades of right wing propaganda.

Maybe I should have said something along the lines of “Isnt as profitable without changing their business model“, which they are doing.

Automation helps shareholder confidence. Shareholders are confident in what the future holds for McDonald’s and automation has a lot to do with that. Add that to the government’s continued subsidizing of the beef indrustry and you have really high shareholder confidence.

Appreciate your posts breh.

It is shytty but welcome to the Coli

Not like you reciprocated with any positivity... way to be part of the solution

It's callous but it does speak to a level of short term thinking on the part of the employees. We already saw what happened in Seattle :yeshrug: These people need pathways to legitimately higher paying + sustainable jobs, not wage hikes for jobs that were never meant for adults supporting families in the first place

McDonalds (and the country) would do better to take whatever money would be wasted on a minimum wage hike and put it into training/adult education/relocation assistance. The left has to stop thinking paycheck to paycheck and look at the bigger picture

Don’t have to deal with anymore shytty attitudes from shytty kids, or adults who hate their lives because they have to work there
