Idk why people are acting like this is a reach.

P sold a lot of records while investing in his own label. Not to mention he sold records at a point in time where you had to physically walk into a store to buy music.

Did he mean sell a billion or a billion streams because his math is a bit off. If you combined every top selling artist ever it would barely equal a billion albums sold.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

First off I meant money lol. Not records. He was worth 500 million dollars. He has sold 75 million records.

I’m not arguing what y’all are arguing. Y’all trying to move the entire technology of today to 1998 OR move him to 2019

He said if social media existed then..... that’s the criteria. Leave the tech alone. Leave streaming alone. Leave the illegal downloads alone

If nikkas suddenly had a new app download to their sidekick 2, called Twitter..... would no limit records, would have doubled their efforts. A lot of labels wasn’t flashy and dropping like that. Like DMX or ruff Ryder’s on social. After the bike shyt, I don’t think it would have popped. Bad boy would be flashy enough and doing wild shyt to keep you interested. No limit was doing bigger numbers than them. Was dropping like 20-30 albums a year. Was the wild out southern rappers that everybody follows like now. And had the paper to let all them nikkas shine and do outlandish dumb shyt.

A lot of these little nikkas now is just doing what no limit artists started back then. Whole cash money is here cause of no limit paving the way.

U can laugh at him now, but if you were there for the NL heyday and how ppl, myself included would just cop shyt just because it had the Tank on it....in my opinion I'd say he's not far off

You ain’t lying. For some dudes owning everything no limit put out became a point of pride, even if they didnt listen to all the music.

P definitely woulda sold a lot more if he’d had social media back then.

No Limit benefited off the time it existed. IN 96 the South was solo because major labels wasn't fukking with them. No limit, Cash Money, Suave House, Rap-A-Lot, Swisher House etc. And literally every nikka that started these labels got paper (Master P, Baby, Tony Draper, J Prince, DJ 5000)

I mean you got nikkas like Lil Yachty going viral on accident that P would have ot compete with

Back in the days lil yachty woulda fallen into the category with mufukkas like pm dawn and probably rushed outta the culture quickly.

That comment alone shows that he doesn't even understand social media.
Y’all are misunderstanding what he’s saying COMPLETELY though. All he is saying is, with his work ethic and youth (being he’s 20 again in this scenario) if he would’ve had the ability to reach that many people instantly his success would’ve been out of the world. Y’all can’t take the actual numbers so literally. And he’s probably right too.
