I got Love for P but no they didn't. I was in HS, Ruff Ryders and Bad Boys were the top labels in the late 90s. No Limit had a loyal fan base and they were up there but nah, DMX, Diddy, Mase, had more love., I remember all the criticism Source, XXL and VIBE gave No Limit. People were calling P wack back then. He was the original rapper to call nikkas "Haters" for criticizing him and music remember Common on 6th Sense "If I don't like I don't like that don't mean that I'm hating."

I feel you, but I disagree, P had labels scared to drop albums on the same day that he would put out his albums.

Also ain’t know one saying he ran it for YEARS in terms of dominance but for for a short period he did run shyt. Like that late 96-early 00

And yea Badboy, RR, Rocafella was around back then they all ate but P held it down for the South till CMR came and too the reigns

Y’all are misunderstanding what he’s saying COMPLETELY though. All he is saying is, with his work ethic and youth (being he’s 20 again in this scenario) if he would’ve had the ability to reach that many people instantly his success would’ve been out of the world. Y’all can’t take the actual numbers so literally. And he’s probably right too.
You'd been better off just asking me for clarification instead of assuming I didn't understand P's sentiment.

No, I don't agree with your spin of what he said either. P and his crew came around at the perfect time. The distribution deal with the 80-20 split that he had was monumental to their success. The fact that he was able to flood the market and capitalize off the buzz they created was why he was able to sell so many records. Without that deal, no limit doesn't have a run anywhere close to what they had.

The internet and social media has completely changed the game. Artists don't even sell physical albums like that anymore. Success is judged off the amount of streams now. The fact that he's even talking about how many albums he would've sold in this internet/social media environment shows that he doesn't even understand the climate.

I say that no limit would be waaaay less successful tryna come up in this era because their haters(which they had a lot of) would've had a platform to unite and amplify their hate. A lot of people fukked with no limit but a lot of people not only didn't fukk with them but a lot of people thought they were wack as fukk.

Yall ain't gotta clown him like that :russ:

This is just the old rapper equivalent of "I'd have gone pro if I didn't hurt my ankle! I'm telling yall I was on that path!"
