Y’all are misunderstanding what he’s saying COMPLETELY though. All he is saying is, with his work ethic and youth (being he’s 20 again in this scenario) if he would’ve had the ability to reach that many people instantly his success would’ve been out of the world. Y’all can’t take the actual numbers so literally. And he’s probably right too.
No because you assume him having that access means more people want to hear his music and that's not true. No limit was not hitting worldwide and wouldn't have with the internet. The music wasn't cutting it.

To even sell diamond you need international appeal not just local. Groups that do this include Outkast, Fugees, Nelly, 50 cent. Master P wouldn't sell more seats than Joe Budden in his prime outside America.

He lying hard

Master P never crossed over internationally. He wouldn't sell a billion ever.

Cold hard facts.

Took southern rap many years to crack the international market relevancy. Has P ever toured Europe?

No no no no...... I think y’all think he talking about soley him and his personal records.

I was taking it he taking about his entire roster of No Limit.

P was a hustler and I always said the best part of back then being on NLR was you wasn’t guaranteed to drop an album.... unlike other labels where artists are sitting there in a holding pattern waiting.

One of my favorite things about them early NL albums was when I bout them and inside the case was the “coming soon” section in the book that most case scenario would come to fruition as they hit them dates.

Now if he had social media to promote that then man:wow:

Would’ve got like 5 more Fiend and CMurder albums:blessed:

stop man nolimit has no diamond records but he somehow gon sell a billie :mjlol:

all promo was still going to his demographic. He didn't have worldwide appeal and neither did nolimit

we're pretending he wasn't even cooking the sale numbers for what he sold with the barcode scam. Cash money had real sales and Wayne broke the international glass ceiling for southern rap.

P is a hustler indeed and has sold his greatness into myth but the numbers don't add up. tons of failed businesses.

Everywhere...You never there.
Master P is one of the most amazing all-around talents of all time. Literally could have become a millionaire a dozen different ways. shytty rapper, still sold millions too.

This man literally was vying for a raptors spot in the league :mindblown:

He lowkey might’ve peaked too soon ... and Jay continues to be the face of “urban black entrepreneurs” because he’s peaking at a much later age with more readily apparent, visible and diverse interests ...

... and he’s in with cacs... :usure:

@Bryan Danielson

And P probably woulda saved Fiend from riding that Currensy stoner wave and sounding all burnt out and tired on those elevator music songs he’s been dropping over the past few years :smh:

Gonna have to check his latest tape “There’s one in every Family pt 2”’... maybe he let that bullshyt go.

Mr Womp Womp was my shyt back in the day and off that album he will always be dope to me

“Whoooooos got that fiiiiiiyyyyaaaaa!!!”:wow:

A lot of ppl in this thread was not around during No Limit heydays I can tell.

No Limit ran the entire rap game

Tell these young niccas breh:wow:

To this day, out of every concert I’ve ever been too. That No Limit concert by far was the best one I’ve ever been too in 99 when they came 2 Charlotte.

P brought his entire roster and EVERYONE got to perform.

Nicca I walked away copping a Big Ed The Assassin cd a few days later cuz I remember he RIPPED his set:whew:

Mr Serv On, Kane and Abel.

P gave all them niccas a platform

Him and Snoop were the co headliners

And Snoop hit all his classics along with NL shyt

U can laugh at him now, but if you were there for the NL heyday and how ppl, myself included would just cop shyt just because it had the Tank on it....in my opinion I'd say he's not far off
I was there, and he is far off.

Man the 'single' "I always feel like somebody's watching" sold dayum near 2-3 million copies alone. I'm not even going to mention, "I"m bout it" or the "make'em say ugh" single, Those 3 "singles" alone, combined sold heavy. Remember folks would buy "singles" before the album even came out.

Master P's "singles" alone sold, and I'm not even counting the other artists "singles" that sold. "Mystikal" "The Man Right Chea" Mia X "Party Don't Stop"

Remember cats use to purchase singles, CMR started the whole, we not selling singles, you have to buy the whole album movement wave.

P would drop "singles" and they would sell.

I got Love for P but no they didn't. I was in HS, Ruff Ryders and Bad Boys were the top labels in the late 90s. No Limit had a loyal fan base and they were up there but nah, DMX, Diddy, Mase, had more love., I remember all the criticism Source, XXL and VIBE gave No Limit. People were calling P wack back then. He was the original rapper to call nikkas "Haters" for criticizing him and music remember Common on 6th Sense "If I don't like I don't like that don't mean that I'm hating."
