Ain’t nothing wrong with those sneakers if they said “Balenciaga” on them they would sell $1,500 and every rap nikka would be wearing em and that would trickle down to the streets

The problem is nobody is wearing no damn rapper sneaker or label sneaker the most you can do is a collab with a big player and Master P can’t do that because he’s not considered fly or a fashionable

There were 29 songs on that album, there were plenty of good songs, just happened to be too many songs for Master P.

B.G.'s flow was incredible all the way up til after Life After Cash Money, and I most def think he was better than Juvenile from a pure rapping standpoint.

Juvenile never lived up to his full potential imo...

Its solja rags,400 degreez and glimpses of talent after that...

BG had like 3 straight albums that were strong before CMR even took it to the next level...

MP Da Last Don had good production.

War Wounds, Hot Boyz N Girlz, let my 9 get em, etc.

I just couldn't get with P's blatant use of Pac'isms on some of the songs.

When P raps with his natural voice, he is good bringing that energy.

I have no idea what the appeal of Balenciaga's is. I saw a chick with them on not too long ago, and the shoes were so ugly and distracting that I actually overlooked how attractive the chick was. They were a different variation of this one. They really do look like a version of one of P's sneakers like @ISO said:mjlol::mjlol::hhh:

Kanye might be the biggest fashionista rappers dude is in that industry with personal relationships with designers and all.

Yeezys been released under Adidas and Nike. Kanye is a fashion icon. Master P is not and he is peddling some tacky independent sneaker and trying to pitch fukking Zion Williamson.

Nikkas didn’t buy Big Baller Brand but they gonna but Master P sneakers in 2019 :mjtf:

Hip-hop artist and mogul Master P and son Romeo announced today the formation of a new record label, Take A Stand Records, with the mission of cleaning up both the image and lyrics of hip-hop music. The new label will represent artists that have pledged to be role models to both the music industry and music lovers of all walks of life through 100% clean lyrics and positive moral values.

Master P made the announcement public and gave further justification for the label via an open letter available on the web site,

In the letter, Master P states, "personally, I have profited millions of dollars through explicit rap lyrics. I can honestly say that I was once part of the problem and now it's time to be part of the solution. I am ready to take a stand by cleaning up my music and follow my son's footsteps and make a clean rap album. [...] I am not expecting the entire industry to change overnight but this is one positive step towards the growth of hip-hop."

The first release under the new label will be a father and son album from Master P and Romeo titled Hip Hop History. The record will contain clean lyrics and will debut this fall.

Rather than perpetuate the conventional hip-hop stereotypes of violence, sex and wealth, music from Take A Stand Records artists will address social issues and positivity.

Master P added, "there's too much negativity out there -- enough with the stereotypes. Hip-hop is a movement, and it is time for it to move forward."

Take A Stand Records seeks to be a hip-hop label with a conscience. Proceeds from record sales will be made available to underprivileged youth in the form of scholarships. In addition, Take A Stand Records will seek partnerships with organizations such as the NAACP and retailers such as Target and Wal-Mart that are in direct contact with communities.

So Cal
Wayne was the future and Baby and Slim saw it, before the fans knew it.

He was young and fans liked him. And his skills were improving. The upside was tremendous. The rest of the guys already reached their ceiling and were subtly fading, Mannie included. Baby and Slim saw it before it set the company back. That is what good executives do. Cold, but business.

Again, most people couldn't even see it in hindsight. Baby and Slim saw it in real time. And they were correct by investing in Wayne and not the others, including Mannie. The rest is history.
That's bs. He just didn't pay anybody, including Wayne. If what you saying was true they wouldn't have re-signed most of them. Wayne was flopping and want even a factor til years later. Juvie left be and came back and was still bigger than that nikka. Wayne s just the only one dumb enough to stay, took that nikka 20 years to realize he was getting played.

That nikka went to Capitol Hill with David Banner and said rap is filth...then he seen the positivity gimmick wasn't working so he went back to the Ice Cream Man image :snoop: that nikka P has no integrity.

I lost a lot of respect for P after this. I actually believed he was trying to take a stand..he even came out with the better black television network..or something like that, I cant remember the name

Master P never had a problem with putting out a Great Value version of whatever is popular at the moment. He probably saying “White people do it with food products why can’t i do it with music?”

Wayne was not flopping. Certified plaques for his early albums. :yeshrug:

Wayne didn't become a mega-star over night. It took time and development. Birdman and Slim put the right components around him to ensure he flourished. And he did.

Baby and Slim are businessman. Everyone is disposable to them. Even Wayne. When Wayne got cold for a bit, Birdman ditched Wayne for Quan and Thugga for a minute.
